I have netflix on my computer (and xbox) but the selection is HUGE if you watch the movies online.
My main question I want to know is how do I get what's playing on netflix (on my laptop) to stream on my tv through my xbox 360?
I can get video's and music to play (stored files on my computer) on the tv but I want to stream my laptop's screen on the tv...if that's possible?

Any help?

The Netflix Instant selection is identical to what is online. It will play whatever is in your Instant Queue. Don't scream at me.

The Instant selection is exactly the same online as it is on your 360.
If you wanna hook your computer up to your tv, you need the monitor plug with an AVI adapter for the TV.
Or if you have HDMI, just use that.

This is stupid. the movies availble to instant stream are no different whether you're watching it on the computer, your xbox, your wii, or your ipad.

The selection is the same.

It's not under the instant selection.

So when I go online I can watch Lost (by searching for it)...but not on the 360.
Don't get smug when you have no idea what you're talking about.

I can and do watch Lost on the 360 all the time.
Not sure why you wouldn't be able to tho.

There's only 24, Prison Break, Fam Guy, etc.
No Lost...I wish I could search and play stuff but w/e.

Just add it to Instant Queue on your laptop and then it will be on your instant queue for your 360.

dude, you're an idiot. if you add something to your Instant Queue online, it will show up in your Instant Queue on the Xbox. I literally have done this multiple times today.
Shame for yelling at the people trying to help you.

Yeah, I mean, Netflix is a breeze with the 360; I was even sharing my internet connection with my laptop and hard wired it to my xbox. Bingo.

Go to Netflix.com
Search for what you want
If it has the blue "ADD TO INSTANT QUEUE" button, click it.
Turn on the XBox.
Go to Netflix.
Go to INSTANT QUEUE.
Watch movie.
