1. How did you get your band name?
Well, we went through so many band names in the past couple of years, and thought so hard about all of them until finally we came to a point where we realized that the name should not define the band.. the music should. And so on that day, driving around for no reason, our bassist Chris Dechert, says, "We can just name our band Breathing Blue or something and no one would care," Immediately the name caught us all and we decided to go with it.

2. How did this band get started?
We all came from different local bands. Matt and I (Rob) have been together in the same bands for the past five years and little by little we started to find the rest of the members that we thought would fit our style the best. After tons of member changes and band names, we finally found the right group of five, practiced a bunch of times, and called ourselves Breathing Blue.

3. What bands are you influenced by?
The bands that we are all together most influenced by are Circa Survive, The Receiving End of Sirens, Envy on the Coast, Senses Fail, As Tall As Lions, and Saosin.

4. If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would it be and why?
It would definitely be the bands that I just mentioned above. But the band that we would love to tour with the most now would be Envy on the Coast. They fit our style the closest as of right now and they are one of the most talented bands we know of today and to be able to see them live everyday would influence us so much more and probably teach us new ways to become better at what we do. We would definitely get the most out of a tour if it is with a band like that.

5. If you were a furry, what animal would you be? Why that animal?
I'm sure we would all be a cat so we can go poop on another bands equipment in their practice space, since we're so used to that from Justin's cats haha.

6. Why should people listen to your band?
People should mostly listen to our music if they want to hear something different. We believe our sound is something people of all ages and genres can enjoy because we do not stick to a certain genre, and we make music that you will not hear commonly. But still with melodies that will stick with you for a while.

7. If you were chosen to be in Guitar Hero/Rock Band, what song would you want in the game? How hard do you think it would be to five-star on expert?
Definitely "A Star in the West." This is the opener of our E.P. and we believe this song on Guitar Hero will be the most difficult note wise, but also the most fun. I probably will not be able to play it, but I am also terrible at that game.

8. If you won a Grammy, who would you thank?
The first and probably most important people we would thank we be our parents. For letting us practice and write for so many hours and years at a time in their houses, for giving us money here and there when we needed it, and for always believing in us and making sure we followed our dreams and did not stop until we achieved them.

9. If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
Illegal downloading! Well to a certain extent. We believe albums that bands work so hard for and make should be appreciated more by fans and bought rather than stolen. But on the other hand, no one should be denied to hear and listen to music that they love because of money. But unfortunately, it also cost money to be a band... Bands are stopping and giving up on music because they can not afford to do it. This should not be happening.

10. Memorable tour experience?
Locking our keys in our trailer once haha... MESS!!!!!

11. What does AP.net mean to you?
Promotion! A place where fans could learn more about their favorite bands, and bands they never heard before. An awesome place for music lovers to visit online no doubt!

12. What is your favorite song to play?
We always have more fun playing whatever is newest to us... right now songs that are not on our E.P. haha, but from the album we definitely all have the most fun playing our closer "From Athens to Alcatraz" for obvious reasons. Every band loves going crazy and it's always the easiest to go nuts during your heaviest song.

13. What is your vacation spot of choice?
The BEACH!

14. What music reminds you of your childhood?
Red Hot Chili Peps, and the ice cream truck song!

15. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why?
To fly! We all believe that would be the most dominate power. You can't ever lose.

16. Do you feel that your band has "made it"?
Every time we play a show, no matter how many people, write a new song, hang out together, or record an album... We have made it.

17. What is something that most fans don't know about you?
We like to cuddle with each other a lot.

18. What's your favorite holiday?
NEW YEARS EVE! We always make sure we are together.

19. What do you like to do in your spare time?
Play acoustic on the beach and make fools of ourselves.

20. What kind of hidden talents do you have?
Justin - Spin, Throw Knives.
Jason - Yo-yo
Matt - Surf
Chris - Shower in sixty seconds
Rob - Not shower for long periods of time
