Does Your Band Want to Play Bamboozle Left?

Absolutepunk.net are proud to present The Bamboozle Left (http://www.thebamboozleleft.net/) Break Contest. We are having 16 battles around the country in which bands that we hand pick could have the opportunity to play The Bamboozle Left on Oct 14th and 15th in Pomona, CA. We have 4 slots per day to battle toward. Here are the following cities where the "Break Contests" will be happening. If there is a city close enough to drive to then submit a link to your music to breakcontestleft@gmail.com.

Here is how the contest works exactly: There will be 4 bands selected to
battle in each city (battle dates announced soon), out of those 4 bands we narrow it down to 1 (with the help of our judges). That 1 is considered the winner for that city. But it is not over yet .. we pair up one winner vs another winner (ie: LA vs New York) and the AP.net readers vote for
which one should appear on this years Bamboozle Left.

We will have an AP.net rep in each city (street team members and other other willing forum members) judging some things and we will also have a forum for everyone online to vote. The performances will be judged/picked based on the following categories: Live Performance, Sound/Originality, Songs, Crowd Reaction, Recording, Online Votes.

The deadline is September 12th (I know, it's soon!) You have one week to send your band submission to breakcontestleft@gmail.com.

Please note: All questions regarding this contest should be directed to the breakcontestleft@gmail.com, I personally cannot answer any of your questions and will probably just ignore you.

I wish there was more time to have the bands from each city square off against east other live instead of online voting. Like have a winner from each section of the country. Just the idea of online voting always reminds me of the spin band of the year contest that got out of hand and never finished last year.

If you think a drive from Portland to Seattle is too long... then you probably wont like the drive from Portland to southern California to play the show if chosen. I would guess bands are going to be responsible for their own transportation to and from. I dont think anyone is gonna throw around money for plane tickets and such. But thats just my guess.
