I still don't see the appeal ismfof have. Idk if it's JUST me but WTF!
Anyways, I'd love to see Silverstein HEADLINE once again instead of just a couple of songs like they had on "toursick". Dance Gavin Dance is always a good time although I almost passed out last time I saw them -_- .WCAR is ehhhhh, haven't really felt the need to get into them especially after seeing them live.I'm probably most stoked for Emery though, I'll admit I wasn't a fan nor did I give them much of chance at all but after seeing them on their headline run with closure in Moscow last year I was blown away, and their performance on the underoath tour was a sure highlight of 2009. Ok enough ranting... South Florida date please

Apparently this is called the Scream It Like You Mean It tour. They are having a tour kickoff show in Starland Ballroom in New Jersey. The lineup for that show is sick.
The Devil Wears Prada & Silverstein w/ Emery, Dance Gavin Dance, We Came as Romans, Miss May I, I Set My Friends on Fire, Sky Eats Airplane, Your Demise, Ivoryline and Close to Home.

YayHow seriously do you take music and how involved do you get during shows? I only ask because ISMFOF is really fun even though the band is ridiculous. DGD is good even though Kurt has a lot of off nights and Will is NOT a good screamer. WCR clean vocals are shaky, but the crowd is ALWAYS sick. I've seen them live a lot. And Silverstein's best years are behind them but its cool for nostalgia.

I'm not much for music with screaming in them. Emery does it but keep it to a minimum enough that it doesn't bother me. And Shane from Silverstein mix the clean vocal and screaming really well too so I'm fine with that.Plus I'm not really a mosher either so as of right now I don't see myself enjoying the first 3/5 part of the show.

I have no care for hearing ANY Downtown Battle Mountain material. Those songs don't even sound any good live without Jonny and Jon. One DBM song per setlist is more than enough, they are much better off sticking to Death Star and Happiness songs.

I agree, actually. It's just a shame that they have such good songs (...and i told them, lemon meringue tie, etc) that they dont play live anymore. I realize that they are a different band now, its just the fact that those songs are rarely played anymore and that makes me sad.

I agree with this to a certain extent, I mean yeah they don't sound good without Jon or Jonny On those songs live but then again neither do some of the songs off of death star because of the LACK of good screaming vocals, overall it's still fun to hear the old songs because that esentially was what got me into dgd and I'm sure plenty of people still want to hear them and have a good time

Mostly because DBM fanboys can't get over something that happened nearly three years ago. And unit254 is one of my least favorite users on this site.
You generalize too much. DMB is my favorite DGD record but not just because of Jonny, the songs just seemto stick out more. I'm not mad he left, I like what hes done with Emarosa and Kurt has been a great replacement. Maybe you shouldn't just assume we all love DBM just because of Jonny

:(
It gets sadder, the Metro website, which is the venue I'll be seeing this at, has WCAR after Emery and ISMFOF after DGD, which will seriously piss me off if that happens. Last time DGD was at the Metro they were headlining, last time WCAR was there they were opening.

Dude, yes! I have a bad feeling that I'm gonna be the only one who knows them and who's singing along at my date. I almost feel bad for them a bit.

Well, I'm sorry for confusing you, but I actually meant to quote this: "I prefer ISMFOF to WCAR."
I'm a WCAR fan. However, I do believe that they shouldn't go after Dance Gavin Dance for sure, and if they're going after Emery, and if ISMFOF is going after DGD at the date you are saying, I would go insane, because that is flat-out ridiculous.
I'm still a firm believer that Emery should headline this, and Silverstein should do something else with another tour, but my wishes never seem to come true.
EDIT: Dang, I saw the poster. WCAR is above everyone except the headliners, that's crap. I mean, I'm happy for them, but I think Dance Gavin Dance should be above them.
I also just realized how different this would be if it were two tours.
1. Silverstein, Emery, Dance Gavin Dance, and Ivoryline
2. We Came as Romans, I Set My Friends on Fire, Sky Eats Airplane, and Close to Home.
There would be a lot less complaining, I'll tell you that.

Oh, my bad then. I just find WCAR annoying and generic, and ISMFOF were really good the last time I saw them live, which I did not think they would be, so I'm excited to see them. I've seen WCAR live like four times and they do put on a good show, so I can respect your opinion. But they really should not be so high in the lineup, it'd have to have something to do with the management company who put this together instead of the actual draws of these bands.

Sky Eats Airplane

I'm not too surprised that WCAR is playing over DGD honestly. WCAR is growing a rapid fanbase, and is becoming more popular.

Yeah, this.
If WCAR does play over DGD its only because they are under Outerloop management. They may be growing in popularity, but DGD still has a larger fanbase and a bigger draw.

Common sense? I already stated in this thread the last time I saw DGD at the Metro they were headlining and last time I saw WCAR they were opening, which doesn't mean WCAR hasn't made progress, but I doubt they'd be able to fill the room as DGD did with a headlining spot. But it makes a lot of sense that Outerloop would want one of their bands to play later in a lineup for a tour they put together.

WCAR could fill a room by now, most likely. I still think they belong over DGD.

I'm just gonna have to disagree with you then. Maybe in a year or two if they keep touring like they are now, but I don't think they're that big yet.

I'll post a Dance Gavin Dance setlist this Saturday from a one off show in Colorado Springs, which will probably be the same songs they're doing for this tour.

I don't know if you've seen any of them before but Emery and Silverstein are both really good. You can always make new friends there or enjoy the show by yourself

I wanted to see Emery, Silverstein, and Dance Gavin Dance the most, and I like Ivoryline and Sky Eats Airplane too. I have a friend who might go if he can get the money, so all hope is not lost. :overhead:
