Depends when I'm in a record shop looking for that specific album I want. If the Deluxe version is available and I haven’t yet gotten the album, I'll grab a Deluxe copy of it. But if the deluxe is not available/hasn’t been released yet, I'll buy the normal version then download the bonus tracks when/if a Deluxe version is released. This is because I find it weird to own two copies of the same album.

To me, albums should be listened to as they were intended. Bonus tracks are precisely that: bonuses, i.e. they did not make the first cut. While I do want to hear them at some point, I'm much more interested in listening to an album as a well-crafted artwork.

Wow, sorry to hear that. FYE is unbelievably expensive. Every now and then you get a good deal on a DVD there, but rarely a CD.

yea i was dumb in high school, we had like three FYEs (one in the mall, two outside the mall, they have since closed) we didnt have bestbuy til i got to college but luckily thats the only thing around now

Yes, Best Buy's the only place I buy physicals from now. Either there or online.

Normally standard. It just depends on what is on the deluxe version. I'll only buy deluxe if it includes bonus tracks or a DVD I'll actually watch more than once.

Really? All the FYE's around my house have a deal where all cds are 9.99 or less...I consider that a pretty good deal.

Typically it's standard. Most of the time I don't even get the bonus tracks. But if it's a band I love, I go for deluxe (unless I already have the CD..)

if a physical deluxe edition is available, i buy it, but when there are multiple bonus tracks available through multiple outlets (cd, itunes, etc), i download the bonus tracks because i am not going to buy the album multiple times to get all the bonus tracks.
