I went with Virgin, but it was a mildly difficult decision. I think there are one or two songs on METN that I like better than a lot of the songs on Virgin, but the latter is better as an album overall. There are no songs on Virgin that I want to skip over

I feel like The Eventually Home beats both records.... It took parts of what I liked about Virgin, added a more mature voice, and really expanded on the whole thing.

edit:: I voted for Mean Everything to Nothing though... I especially like how they've recorded the songs so many times in so many different ways (stripped live versions, 12 days of xmas versions, etc).

As a whole album, I'm going with Virgin. However, that's only because I don't like "Pride" or "In My Teeth" on METN. Those songs are good live, but I think they tarnished METN a bit.

i voted virgin for the sole fact that most of the songs have been a favorite of mine at some point, Sleeper 1972 can make me cry buckets, and wolves at night seriously has one of the sickest drum rhythms & the shift from minor to major makes me giddy.

METN on the other hand was a dissapointment when i first listened but it is becoming one of my favorite records.

But seriously this band has yet to make anything that isnt amazing. i hope that day never comes

i hate mean everything to nothing as a record. its boring. a few great tracks, but i don't ever want to put on the album as a whole and listen to it again. i'm like a virgin has so many different sounds to it, along with different song structures. lyrically its incredible. mean everything sounds like a Colour Revolt wanna be.

personally, i'm worried about this band. Andy has too many projects and doesn't bring his quiet side (or his best lyrics) back to Manchester, which is what i most enjoy about this band.
