After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl (Emma Stone) sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne's in The Scarlet Letter, which she is currently studying in school until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing
Emma Stone is definitely charming enough to pull this, even if it is very unlikely that she would be unpopular whereas Amanda Bynes would be the queen bee
Also Patricia Carlson, Stanley Tucci, and Malcolm McDowell being in it gives me hope

I adore Emma Stone and nearly every movie I've seen her in (House Bunny being the exception that comes to mind). She's a great actress and if anyone deserves a hit lead role it's her.
That being said the trailer didn't impress me. But I'm being optimistic because none of the most recent comedy trailers have done anything for me. Getting Him to the Greek (name wrong, maybe?) comes to mind because it just looks awful, but I'm fairly certain it will be pretty good. It seems like comedies are making an attempt to NOT show their best scenes in trailers anymore. If that's the case than it's a good idea, but if they are still doing that, we're pretty screwed.
Also it seems like this trailer showed a lot. I'm sure there's going to be a better story there though, so I'm mainly just griping about the trailer.
I'll withhold my "I'm going to see it or not see it" judgment until I see MPAA rating. If it's pg-13 I couldn't be less interested.

There's a chance it might be an R rating. Her best friend in the movie has a mouth like a sailor but they could have cut a lot of that out and slapped a pg-13 rating on it. Hopefully they stick with an R rating though. Just stuff I've been reading on IMDB.

In Nylon Emma Stone said, "The original script was much carzier than it ended up being. The role was a little brasher and darker — usually, in comedy, it’s the riskier the funnier. But I enjoy what the did — it kind of went from R to PG-13. The demographic changed in the process of shooting it."
I still want to see it though.

Tucci and Clarkson stole every scene they were in as the parents. Emma stone held her own the entire movie and it was cleverly written

I actually think it's a lot like Mean Girls, since they both deal with high school drama in the same sense (i.e. people being assholes, not knowing who your real friends are, etc).

I'm watching it right now and Emma stone reminds me so much of Ellen Pompeo in the way she speaks. Identical.

Will wait for the torrent, as much as I love Emma Stone I don't think I'll like it much.

Saw a rip of it tonight. Was so good. Emma was fucking hot. I was laughing half the movie. Plot was great. Just an overall solid movie.

Very fun movie, very Mean-Girls esque and that's a good thing. Big fan of Emma Stone as an actress as well as an attractive woman. Her parents were the absolute best

Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson stole every scene they were in.

Saw this last night and was very underwhelmed. I liked Emma's parents but I'm surprised this is so highly reviewed.

saw this today. it's not quite as funny or ingenious as Mean Girls, but i'd say it's just about as good in its own right. i love Emma Stone so much now.

Average.
Considering the type of movie this is, I think it's actually a little better than average. This could have been terrible.

Without Tucci or Clarkson, I wouldn't have cared for it at all. I'm not in to this type of genre anyway.

Just finished up this movie. Really funny and I loved all the John Hughes references because, well, I'm a huge John Hughes fan.

Watched this movie again the other day, it's so fantastic. And that opinion has nothing to do with my Emma Stone obsession.
Okay it kinda does.

Just switched my desktop background over to the shot of Emma and Penn on the lawnmower. I tried to post it, but the file was too big. :/
