Lets talk about your favorites, American or otherwise. There quite a few of you who are pretty into film, do you have favorite writers/directors/visionaries?

What specifically do you like about their work? Good starting spots to get into them?

oh come on really?

I'm not interested in purchasing anything... I'm broke as shit here... I guess I'll lurk it and see whats up, maybe talking about auteurs isn't so different from talking about a DVD series

What I mean is that there isn't only Criterion release discussion in that thread anymore. Didn't mean to derail your thread. Sorry man.
haha nah its cool. If the discussion is already happening there's no reason to start it again. I had just remembered it being mainly posts saying I'm gonna buy this/that.

Its almost like "postmodernism" its such a hip word!!!

It does have some meaning to it though.
