Exactly. Daunte looked pretty good for most of the game. Plus, this was his first game back. And his first game back was against the best defense in the league.

If anything, this is better for Daunte in the end. He faced a great defense to start off the season, and that's for the better.

i'd say the secondary would be more to blame for the loss than daunte. both those picks came at a time when he had to pass, so they could drop more people back in coverage. they were also both nice plays by the defense.

daunte played decently, he didnt play fantastic but you cant expect a quarterback to play fantastic when 1) you cant get any type of running game established, 2) you havent payed a regular season game in how many months, and 3) you are playign against a pretty great defense.
