Hey guys,

I'd imagine most of you are Jim Henson fans, I'm not sure if you're aware but this weekend it will be 20 years since a great entertainer passed. I wrote a retrospective of his life for the website Geekscape.net and it'd mean a lot if you could read it, post your Henson Memories and pass it on to other Henson fans :)

Solid read man. I was just talking about Dr Bunson and Beaker at work the other day. I think the craziest part is that pretty much everyone associates Henson with the Muppets, but no one remembers he was also the guy behind Sesame Street. Brilliant dude.

Probably one of my favorite people of all time and extremely influential in my life. I will make sure my kids grow up on his stuff as well.

Every red-blooded American child should grow up watching The Muppets, Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock. It'll make you a better person.

So since writing this article I started up a podcast called "The Saint Mort Show." (http://www.saintmortshow.com) This past episode (http://geekscape.net/shows/the-saint-mort-show/that-still-classifies-me-as-a-musician) I had on Filker Tom Smith and we discussed muppets. I asked him to be on because he wrote "A boy and his frog" easily the saddest song I've ever heard.

Henson was a genius and head of his time. I still watch his shows today. The whole series of Fraggle Rock is on Netflix.
