Went to this last night and had a blast. The show was originally scheduled to be at Radiodown but then got moved to the Mad Hatter for whatever reason.
Show started at around 7:30 and went to about 12:30, 7 total bands played and although many of the openers left much to be desired, All the Day Holiday more than made up for it with their amazing performance. All the bands were:
All the Day Holiday
Josh Kufeldt (ex-Pomegranates)
Lovedrug
Goldshoes
Come on Caboose
Static Vessels
Canoes
Of the local openers, I'd have to say Static Vessels was the best. I probably will check them out some more. I never was really a fan of Lovedrug before tonight and I still feel kind of lukewarm to them. Don't get me wrong, their live performance was great, they played around 6 ish songs, but only one of them really stood out to me as one I could keep listening to.
After Lovedrug came Josh Kufeldt who played 3 short songs. He played right after ATDH had set up so I was thankful he only played 3. When Josh was done he started playing the intro to "Fingerprints" and then the whole band of ATDH joined in as the lights blasted on and transitioned into "Real Time". Very epic intro.
All the Day Holiday, in short, killed it and I can't wait to see them again. My only gripe is their set felt really short for a headliner and I was disappointed at no encore, but considering all the other bands that played they were probably short on time. Their full set was as follows (kinda in order):
Fingerprints intro
Realtime
2000 Winters
La Voyage
Atmosphere (the breakdown in this song was too great for words)
Cheers
Wouldn't it be Nice (Beach Boys cover)
Cities
Flowers and Fireworks
Greener
Autumn
