View Full Version : can someone help me with spanish please?
Can someone help me explain Double object pronouns for my spanish class?
for example, changing a sentence like "I gave the book to bob" to "I gave it to him" in spanish.

It's essentially backwards from the order you stated.
"I gave it to him," translates to, "To him it I gave." So the sentence would look like, Se (to him) lo (it) di (I gave).
Haven't used these in awhile but if I remember correctly..
lo and la are used to replace the direct object of the sentence, with los and las for plural
I think..
Ricardo tiene un gato en sus pantalones.
Richard has a cat in his pants.
Ricardo lo tiene en sus pantalones.
Richard has it in his pants.
