I could never be a waiter. I have terrible speaking skills and im not the kind of person who can sweet talk a table. Plus I would spill the tray. I was a busboy at a small mom and pop restaurant when I was a senior in high-school. I had to "pre-bus" tables so the servers didn't have to and even then I hated communicating with the tables. I'll tell you the truth, I'm very obsessed with rivalry..
I seriously don't think I could ever apply to Ohio State or Purdue or Michigan.
I'm afraid of what it might do to me...a hostile environment for an Irish fan.
I plan on taking journalism at the moment, I hear Missouri is the best journalism school in the nation, and Syracuse the best in NY. Those are probably the two I'll look at the most right now.

Depending on what type of journalism you want to go into, I think Northwestern University has one of the best Sports Journalism programs in the country.
But don't quote me on that, because I might be wrong.

So, does anyone here want to work with a sports organization? god knows I would jump on the opportunity to work for any baseball organization....even the Yankees.
That IRS job sounds sweet as well. I figure an econ major could find something to do with the IRS.
my ultimate goal is to go on and get a phd in sports and/or exercise psychology, with hopes of someday working with a professional or collegiate team. those jobs are so few and far between though ..its a longshot.

I know a guy who works for a minor league hockey team in LA doing something (I forget). He gets paid good money and loves his job. ya its few and fair between, but its all about internships. That how he got his job and a friend of a friend is actually working for WEEI on an internship.

i work for an indoor soccer team in philly...you speak the truth when you say its all about the internship, plus networking, you need to know people...the money is terrible but its a resume builder and a great start
I get the luxury of working at a collection agency. Yes I am a bill collector I call people and tell them to pay their bill that they cannot pay. It is entertaining and sweet. MUCHO $$$$$$$$$$ And I get to have an alter ego.
