Even though Drive-Thru is pretty much as dead as can be in many, many eyes, they were still the leaders of the pop-punk explosion during the late 90's/early 2000's. Which band brings back the most memories for you?

SoCo!
But early 2000's Drive-Thru was a special, special place. I don't remember not liking any album that label released from that time.

Yeah I had a pretty hard time myself. But after thinking back to how I loved each one of those bands for different reasons, I had to realize that NFG made the biggest impact, and they pretty much opened the floodgates to the other 11 on that list. (For me, anyway.)

The Early November is my favorite out of these and they get the most consistent rotation in my listening habits these days. New Found Glory easily had the biggest impact and is the most nostalgic for me though, they were pretty much the band that got me into the scene when the self-titled album came out.

i actually read the question....which band brings back the most memories? I didn't neccesarily pick my favorite band, just the band that really brings me back to 2000-2004 pop punk, and thats easily fenix tx.

They were definitely my second. Right behind NFG. No matter how many times those guys falter these days, they'll always get a pass from me for what they once were.

That's understandable. They never recreated the genre, but for what they did, they pulled off very well. Better than 99% of all the other blink-ripoff bands that sprouted up.
Also, sick avatar. A Serious Man was so great, so underrated.
This label used to be golden back in the day. I had to pick SoCo even though NFG is a close second. Wasn't Halifax and Hidden in Plain View on D-T too?

Yeah they were, I didn't add them because I felt like they came a little late in the game. Hidden in Plain View was a harder choice to leave off than Halifax. In all honesty, nobody would've chosen either of them though.

Yeah, I love the songs that I've heard by them but I've never gone out of my way to try to listen.
A Serious Man and Moon were the two most underrated movies last year. And they both have incredible soundtracks. I highly recommend listening to both of them. Especially the song The Canal (on the A Serious Man soundtrack) which is the perfect introduction to Somebody To Love by Jefferson Airplane.

I don't know, I bought Life in Dreaming when it came out, obviously, like every other DTR release back then. And while some songs were okay, they were really hard to really rock out and jam to. I think the tempo to a lot of those songs hurt them a bit, because I remember seeing them open for Less than Jake, and them borderline-begging the audience to participate. It was pretty hard to watch, as much as I loved a few of their songs.

Honestly, everytime Carter Burwell's Canada started playing I got chills. It felt so out-of-place and still so perfect for that kind of film. Absolutely love that song. And as ashamed I am to admit: I have yet to see Moon. I know. I'm trying.

I was so into it back then. I liked their second release too, but I was still bummed when they broke up. I saw them at an intimate venue here and it still remains one of my favorite shows. and I've been to a hell of a lot of shows :D

God yes. I went to the 2003 Drive-Thru Invasion tour. If I remember correctly, the bands in order of sets: Senses Fail, Allister, Home Grown, The Early November, The Starting Line
Man, what a show. What an era to grow up in as well, kids today are truly & utterly fucked on their music tastes.

Soooooo tough because there are so many up there that make me reminisce about a point in my life. We should start a petition to all the bands and DTR to make this happen again...now...minus midtown because gabe is a pack of deusche, I really wish he wouldn't have done the whole CS thing.

What do you mean? Kids now days have nevershoutnever, The Ready Set, and really trashy rap acts. I think it's safe to say their music is just as inspirational.

Nice. Don't forget about the endless wisdom of Millionaires & Brokencyde. Wonder if in 50 yrs from now, there'll be people sitting on their porches, rocking away the summer days telling their grandchildren about the good ol' days of music, when Brokencyde was around...

Haha, those were actually the primary two "trashy rap" acts I was referring to.
