I'll tell you, the worst band of all time in my book is Thursday. That dude has got to be the worst singer I have ever heard in my entire fucking life, man. He is terrible.

I've never heard of Hinder before this, but I have to say that the Thursday on CD and the Thursday you see live are 2 very different bands. Sure Geoff may be intense on stage, but he does not have a good singing voice (or even a good screaming voice, IMO...but that one's more a matter of opinion). Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about because they either haven't seen the band live or they don't know much about music.

The saddest thing is he hasn't even gotten much better over the years. Even with a brief hiatus, he doesn't seem to be making any effort to better himself musically.

I still love the band though and they're easily more influential than some ass-rock band I've never heard of.

A girl I know has been dating the singer for 5 years and not a single shred of his lyrics are true. They are all made up to be "cool". I also heard that they wrote maybe 10% of the record and that thier producers wrote the rest, and that they didnt even play a single note on the record. They would come in and play the songs, that they didnt even write, but they sucked so bad that the producer would go back and record it all himself.

The whole band is made of up tools. Alot of my friends grew up with them and they all just strive to be cool. In highschool they werent jocks, they were just lowlifes. I think their latest album sales speak to the fact that not many people care about Thursday anymore. They are about one more "City By The Lights....." from being dropped. They ran out of good ideas after "Full collapse" the good songs on "War..." must have been b-sides from the previous album.

Where do people get off on saying geoff can't sing ? Just because you do not like his voice doesn't mean he can not sing. The dude can obviously sing.. his voice may not be the most accesible one out there to enjoy, but he's good at what he does.

I know this has already been said 100+ times on this thread but I hate hate hate hinder. Their music is disgustingly bad. Vapid lyrics, lame butt rock music and that stupid "hey I'm so bad to the bone, I wear leather pants and like it, I rode a motorcycle once, I hang out in smoke filled rooms with middle aged white trash while trying to get whorish underage groupies to actually have sex with me therefore I will sing in a pretentious wannabe totally put on deep voice..." attitude that all the horrible pose-rock bands such as Nickleback seem to have now days.

I don't like Thursday very much and think they are kinda overrated but Hinder cannot even begin to hold a candle to them. Hinder (or any of the other bands in their genre) will never be able to write a song as deep, intense or most importantly as sincere as "Understanding in a Crash". All Hinder has to offer the world is a song about getting drunk/high and driving to the truckstop for a wild rendezvous with their cousins.
