With one of television's greatest shows coming to a close tonight, I thought it only appropriate to look back & reflect on the six amazing years LOST has given its viewers. Thinking back to each year, each season, and how different they were from each other, I wonder which was your favorite -- and why?
(Mine? Season 2. We had grown to know and love each character, and the growing back story of the Dharma Initiative was both intriguing and creepy at the same time. Plus, Desmond. That's all there needs to be said really.)
i love them all the same but it's a tie between season 1 and 2; I love the two perspectives (Locke and Des) of the "Why is this happening...to me?!?!" scene in both deus ex machina in season 1 and Live together die alone part 2 in season 2.

two. i didnt really fall in love with the show until the very end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2.

Absolutely, I loved the juxtaposition between the two. How Desmond unknowingly saved Locke's faith & later Locke unknowingly saving Desmond's.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing before I posted this. But then, I realized that even though tonight's finale is part of Season 6, it really is just as attached to the other five. It's the bookend, you know? I feel as though people have already made up their minds concerning Season 6. Tonight's finale regards the entire span of the series, not so much just another season finale, like"Through the Looking Glass." I'm sure that finale had a lot to do with those who chose Season 3 as their favorite.

I got into this show late, and I'm only on season 4, but 2 is my favorite of what I've seen.
I went with season 4 just because of "The Constant" .

I didn't reall enjoy season 1 until the last few episodes. The hatch/season 2 is what really got me into the show.

I went with one, especially since that's the only season I watched in a super short span of time. The marathon aspect added to the awesomeness.
I liked two a lot too. It was a lot of fun learning about the hatch and new aspects of the island and of course, Des.

Come on now. Let's not get into that. "Someone having their own opinion" must single-handedly be the most argued thing on these forums. I just personally didn't see the sincerity behind a simple two-word post regarding the show in a thread about people's favorite season of said show. At least back up the opinion with something. Anything. But I'm assuming someone who simply says "lost sucks" has either never watched past the pilot (like half of my friends), or tried to and couldn't get into it (like the other half of my friends). Therefore, why even argue with them? Would you argue with someone about the Mona Lisa who's never even seen it? Didn't think so.
And yes, I actually did burst out in a little laughter.

Yes, but you don't know for a fact that he hasn't seen it. So what if he says LOST sucks? Your response was the reaction he was hoping for.

i hated that shit with them in cages on the other island in season 3. was so boring. except when sawyer boned kate. that was pretty cool
So many votes for 1 & 2. I thought the show did it's best in seasons 4-6. I went with 4 though.

Agreed. For me, the latter half of season 3 all the way to season 6 was above and beyond

I thought the general perception was the exact opposite. Personally LOST has been like an amazing novel. Take one part away and none of it makes sense. All the seasons really interconnected for me. But if I was forced to order them it'd probably be: 2, 1, 4, 3, 6, 5.
