A "main series" sequel, tentatively titled "American Pie 4" (Not to be confused with Band Camp (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Pie_Presents:_Band_Camp), which was its working title during its development), is currently in the works. During an interview with Seann William Scott (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seann_William_Scott) in February 2010, he revealed that he has been working on developing the film for a year and a half and that the plot would likely be focusing on every character returning and it will revolve around a high school reunion. He also mentioned that his character and the rest are much older, mostly in their late twenties to early thirties. On April 2, 2010, directors Jon Hurwitz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Hurwitz) and Hayden Schlossberg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hayden_Schlossberg) both signed on to direct and write the film. They originally set to direct "A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas", which is set to be released in 2011 but left the project to direct American Pie 4. However, they did write the script for the film and left directing duties to Todd Staruss-Schulson. In an interview published in May, Thomas Ian Nicholas expressed an interest in being involved in this project.
