why is there no ska forum on here? id much rather read about how much people like the impossibles than how many cds the new drive thru records band is going to do at once to show everyone how artistic they are.

so why dont all the ska kids on here rep it?

blue meanies, MU330, the toasters, the impossibles, bomb the music industry, against all authority...

skankin pickle?

id say if this thread gets huge we could so get a ska forum on here

because you know youve skanked at a show before and you used to own two tone suits when you were in high school. do it for those days.

I just listened to skankin pickle for the first time a few days ago. I'm pretty pissed at myself for waiting so long.

speaking of Streetlight, the new songs I heard live sound real good. found some live versions from youtube. obviously quality isn't very good.

i think a ska forum will do better than a jazz one since i made that thread once in general and it died pretty quickly. i would rather talk about jazz though.

Theres not many big bands that are pure ska (at least none that i really know) Theres 2nd wave and 3rd wave Ska which is just ska mixed with rock for the 2nd and punk for the 3rd. Which would fit into this forum. Not many people really listen to the first wave.

The songs sound fun, but the recording is hard to swallow.

No props? He said the song sounds fun, but he didn't like the recording quality. That's an alright review in my book. It just means you are gonna be alright when you get a better recording.
No one even gave you a hard time for blatent self promotion.

My roommate bought the SOAP soundtrack album (so I obviously ripped it when he was gone) and
the songs are all crappy slow bad techno remixes of songs that were once half decent.

NOTE: I'm not considering Fall Out Boy or Panic! as half-decent bands

It is a disgrace to the movie. Baring Gnarles Barkley and the Score I hate everything on it. I liked everything about the movie except the soundtrack. SoaP deserved much better.

I posted a link to the Hopskotch video in a different thread a while back. I used to love going to watch Farse, infact there were some decent bands in the UK ska scene at the start of the millenium.

Have you heard Beat Union, They've got the bassist from Farse in them now.

They are a well good band not Ska but you can tell the ska referances are there.

A ska forum would be awesome. I live in Tennessee, so I have to look hard for people to talk to who love ska as much as I do...or even know about it. Most of the time, if they have heard of ska, all they do is spout that "Ska is dead" shit.
