didnt they do the same thing for "bury your head". im sorry but without anthony green all of this bands songs just sound like theyre missing something.

The production is fabulous on the album (end of track1 to track2, anyone?), the music is pretty solid, but the vocals drag the album down so bad. It's not that Cove can't sing, because he can.. it's that he can't write vocal melodies worth a shit. Or I guess I can blame the whole band for it, they gave him the nod to write some really ridiculously bad shit at times during the album.

I'll have to give it more listens to develop a fuller oppinion, but these are my first impressions.

I personally think Cove did a great job on the vocals on this album. The scream at the end of this video kicks alot of ass too. People need to realize bands change and its been 3 years since the first EP came out. If you don't like the music DON'T listen to it then.

I guess that's your clever way of completely and totally disagreeing with me.. but I'm going to assume you actually only mean the Cove part? Or you really think the music and production sucks?

Sleepers's guitar line has always impressed me very much.. it's not overly technical, but Saosin has a way of crafting solid riffs anyway. The end of They Perched, for example, is quite amazing.. but not too hard to play.

The lyrics were finetuned, too.. I think for the better in most parts.

i like the song/lyrics alot. as far as the video goes, i dunno how to describe it really...basically i like it for what it is. it obviously wasnt a big budget video where theres alot of special effects blah blah blah. but for a video thats basically filiming them performing and cuts to them on the streets and whatnot, i think its real good. u see alot of bands do this and sometimes they just fuck it up. i cant pinpoint what it is that makes this video so much better then other ones, it just is...

to be completely honest I hate the album. I only like one song on it. I Never Wanted To. And even in that some things that Cove sings just annoy me. Everything else lacks energy. Especially the upbeat songs. Follow And Feel which is probably one of the most upbeat is decent, but seriously it drags for me. And i also agree with ACA his vocal arrangement are weak on this album. Lots of spots I feel could of been better vocal wise. Also Chris wrote a lot of the lyrics for this album so I find it ridiculous again for Cove to be considered a singer. He's just another instrument for Chris to play with.

I can't beleive all the hate this album and cove are getting , this fucking cd is amazing if you ask me. Me and my friends we're talking the other day and we were all agreeing that cove is one of the best covalist around , he hits some serious fucking notes on this cd and that's talent. Anthony is not in saosin anymore , quit sucking his dick and get over it. Saosin has moved on and they have never sounded better.

It doesn't matter. Saosin will do the numbers expected, no worse, no better.
Cove sang pretty well on the cd, so did Auto Tune, he sang great as well! Anthony has more talent, ingenuity, and charisma but Cove IS the new singer and everyone should should just let it go. It is what it is wether you dig it or not. BOTH SIDES: the new sao nuthuggers and the Ant lovers should quit trying to justify the changes the band has made. Ant wasn't as big a part of the writing process as you'd think and I doubt Cove was either...
In my opinion this CD is just average. word.

if you think of it as a new band and put aside the hype generated by the white ep then you can enjoy the album. the white ep will probably never be matched again by anyone. saosin has a different vocalist and drummer on all the stuff post white ep so of course its going to sound a little different. let cove and alex be themselves and not try to duplicate someone elses sound.

youre a jackass. im gonna ask you to do me a favor, big man. you go ahead and cut out the vocals on ANY saosin song, any at all. and then i want you to take me a nice video of YOUR bold and heroic attempts to sing those songs. go ahead, post it on youtube, im sure wed all love to see how superior you are. and while youre at it, maybe you can run around too, and see if that makes singing any easier. until youve done those things, you can just quit posting.

I'm very glad you enjoy both bands. And I appreciate your comment, but to be quite honest. How passionate can you really be singing someone elses lyrics? You say that is why Saosin is a band and not a solo project. But to be quite honest dude. A guitarist does what he does best creat music with his guitar, drummers do what they do best by playing his part, same goes for the bassist, and singer. However when the singer can't write his own lyrics and needs a bassist to write his parts wouldn't that be not contributing to the music? The reason there are musicians is because we bring our creative aspects into our music. If someone else writes your parts you're no longer a musician, you're an instrument for someone else to play.

This CD is very solid, and Cove sounds great on it. And he sounds great live, I saw him a few weeks ago. Some of these songs could be huge on MTV/radio/etc and I hope Capitol puts their all into pushing them.

I got this last night and It put a smile too my face. I was extremely skeptical and hated the demo's that I heard but they really pulled through. And Cove did a great job. This scene would be a better place if more vocalist could sing like Anthony. and your not alone is fucking awesome. I never thought Id enough a mellow saosin song. or is that circa? The album surpassed my expectations.
