I believe it was suicide. The band issued a statement saying he couldn't deal with his personal demons or something like that. Rest in Peace boulder. The guy was on my favorite hardcore album, Satisfaction is the Death of Desire. Much respect.

this sucks ass...i've been a Hatebreed fan since the "under the knife" days and Lou was awesome to watch on stage...i've seen them numerous times and he always looked like he was having a blast....it's really sad to see this kinda thing happen to anyone, especially someone whom at their peak was living life to his fullest and really enjoying just playing music....even if you didn't like or listen to Hatebreed, this sucks. hopefully this doesn't get blown out of proportion....
