Morning Glory

When hard–working TV producer Becky Fuller (McAdams) is fired from a local news program, her career begins to look as bleak as her hapless love life. Stumbling into a job at “Daybreak” (the last–place national morning news show), Becky decides to revitalize the show by bringing on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy (Ford). Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts – let alone work with his new co–host, Colleen Peck (Keaton), a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality who is more than happy covering morning “news.” As Mike and Colleen clash, first behind the scenes and then on the air, Becky’s blossoming love affair with fellow producer, Adam Bennett (Wilson) begins to unravel – and soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself.

I agree, it doesn't look like anything that I need to rush out and see on opening day. However, as far as movies that my fiance/mom would want me to see with them, this looks like one of the better ones.

The title of the thread made me think it was a trailer for an Oasis movie or something (like Ray or Walk the Line...? Idk). This does look pretty good. Not something I'd expect from Bad Robot, but still decent.

I had high hopes for this but i came out of it kinda unsure about the whole movie. The writing could never find its footing. You start off being all about Mcadams but then as the movie progreses it shifts to the tv show she is producing and the people involved. It ends up tripping over itself till the ending. It wanted to be a comedy/drama/ coming of age film all in one. Thank god it was free.

oh and the ass scene (which was a body double) but she was in her underwear a couple more times and flashed her ass. It just wasnt as big as the one in the above scene

The movie began pretty well and moved swiftly while building the story. It seems everything was in place for a fell-good chick flick with a great cast, inspiring story, and funny jokes and scenarios. However, there were a few things that threw it off. The music, even though I liked it, was an interesting mix to attach to this movie. By the middle of Morning Glory, Harrison Ford basically steals the show away from Rachel McAdams and turns it into Confessions of a Washed-Up News Reporter. At this point, the movie gets lost and doesn’t know what to do with itself or how to end. You get your typical “big decision” where our heroin must choose between her own future or what she’s built at Daybreak. It’s a cliche and a quick wrap up to an otherwise “ok” movie.

I saw it, really wasn't bad at all. Not perfect but enjoyable. Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams were awesome together.

I was completely a sucker for it because Becky (Rachel) went to Fairleigh Dickinson (where I go right now) and works in a news room, something I kind of want to do.
