Another reason why to chose Set Your Goals over a value meal:

A Value Meal lead to me almost dying...Set Your Goals has never plotted to kill me.

Fuck Mc Donalds - I wanted a McFlury tonight.

And I STILL want a Vanilla frostee.

I think all fast-food joints are out to keep me from enjoying a tasty chilled snack.

Its a sign. I'm not supposed to eat fast food anymore, therefore all fast food joints are avoiding me. I'm a jinx. I'm sorry. Let's make sundaes tomorrow. :)

extra value meals are like $4-5 here, and a value meal is twice as good as that cd, so....

And yeah. I agree with the terrorist comment.

Mutiny was such a disappointment.

I know a lot of you will criticize me for that statement, but you have to take into account the fact that I was anticipating it for over a year. The demos that leaked last year were awesome, but the album itself was pretty crappy, and, yes, a huge disappointment.

Psh, shut up.

Don't download demos then next time.

And you aren't the first(or even close to) person to say that, so don't act so cool.

he's right though. you kids are hyping it up far too much. the album was a dissapointment in my eyes also. it has like 2 worthwhile songs on the album and the re-recorded songs from the leaked demos sound worse off now.

So wait, it's a disappointment because you heard versions of the songs that the band didn't want you to hear? That's what demos are you know - DEMOS - I don't understand how you can hold it against the band because YOU got yourself worked up over something the band didn't even intend for you to hear. That's like walking into Michelangelo half way through the Sistine Chapel, walking around, nodding your head, and then when it's finished claiming it's not as good as his sketches. That's just stupid. Art should be judged by the final product, and if you're going to get all worked up over sketches and then write off the band when they release their final product - you're just an ass.

didn't want me to hear? they were telling people on the b9 boards to go find it and download it after it was intially leaked out.

regardless, they changed the songs up for the worse. i don't like the new verisons and i doubt i would have liked the new versions regardless if i had never heard the demo versions.

the album doesn't have any real lasting value with me.

SYG is a hardworking band. they've toured their asses off over the past year, and have worked for everything they have acheieved recently. but still, the album isn't good.

once they songs were out they encouraged people to download them....so shut up.

if not liking a disposable overhyped album makes me an ass, then so be it.

i've given the album alot of listens and i've really tried to like it, but i can't get into it. there is 2 decent songs on the whole thing. i'd probably rather listen to new found glory anyways.

The band was also playing different (and better) versions of some of those songs for close to a year, then they changed the songs for the album.

Also, this is exactly like when Comeback Kid- Wake The Dead came out. A bunch of people who know nothing about hardcore praised it as the best in its genre. It was a decent album, and it has almost no staying ability.

This is one of my favorite albums of the year. If they changed the songs for the album, then it was to fit the flow, and it was better for the cohesiveness of it. I'm an album person, not a singles person, so I think they thought it out wonderfully.

1) syg did intend to have their demos heard.
2) they did play a few of them live differently than they ended up on the CD.
3) although Mutiny wasn't what I expected, I still like it.
4) wake the dead is a lot better than most people gave it credit for.

So are you saying that Set Your Goals is only being praised by a bunch of people who know nothing about hardcore?

Do you see where I'm going with this...?

Just because it wasn't what I expected, or as hard and raw as I expected, doesn't mean it wasn't good. They made one hell of a catchy album. But yea, I kind of see what you're saying.

i think if i heard this album without hearing what everyone had to say about it first, i probably wouldve enjoyed it more. everyone being like "oh my god best cd of the year!!!" pretty much fucked it up for me.
