M2M... Although I love them all. I just think M2M showed a nice bit of growth on their part from young guys to adults who could now talk about something that effected more than them and their fanbase but the entire world.

Meteora and Hybrid Theory were both the shit when they came out. I'd say Meteora by a slim margin.

Hybrid Theory. That album changed my taste in music forever (for the better). LP was my favorite band for years.

Meteora was a great record.
As long as Mike is controlling 90% of the band I'm happy.

Hybrid Theory is my fav., but meteora is really good too. Minutes to Midnight was really different, but I still liked it a lot. Just wasn't like the others. I know that was their plan. I don't see why some people are hating them for it though.

Don't really care about them anymore, but I loved Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
I went with Meteora because of the songs Numb/Breaking the Habit/Faint.

I'm a die hard fan and I went with Meteora. Hybrid grew on me but Meteora really got me hooked into the band. Love all the albums but Reanimation was just a joke remix album. Can't wait for the new stuff!

Probably. Remember its not cool to like Linkin Park. They aren't indie enough lol
I still love linkin park, they were my favorite band back in the day and pretty much still are in the sense that i can still listen to all their stuff and enjoy the hell out of it. Id have to say my favorite is minutes to midnight because like several others said before, they really grew more mature and wrote some really good shit. The Liitle things give you away....love that damn song.

Is it cool to like Fort Minor?
I'm actually asking because I'm curious.

Probably not but they are a fun band. Can't get into Death by Sunrise though.

Ugh I despised what I heard of Death By Sunrise.
But that's probably because the only thing I really liked about Linkin Park was Mike so it would make sense I would like Fort Minor.
The Rising Tied is probably the only "rap" album I can listen to all the way through and enjoy every song. I guess I don't really like rap though, Mike is just such a great lyricist it's hard to deny he knows his way around a song.

I guess the only reason I couldn't get into DBS was because Minutes to Midnight more or less sounds exactly like it. It focuses more on chester's vocals than it does anything else. I heard some new tracks on this upcoming cd and it's pretty interesting what route their going. It's more of a Hybrid Theory meets M2M, meaning alot of the songs are like Given Up with samples from Hahn.
Meteora is one of my most memorable albums of all time. Breaking The Habit still is one of my favorite songs. Duh, of course my avatar. :D

Hybrid Theory. That album was the shit, it was catchy and powerful.

Sure, 'Meteora' overall might have more cohesion and have better production, but the writing is about the same as it was on 'Hybrid Theory', so 'HT' is arguably better because it was more original.

although rap metal is not a genre i ussually like i think hyrid theory and meteora where really great ablums just solid song after solid song
when i was 13 or so i loved them so much (still do) and it got me into the music i listen to now,
m2m really dissapionted thought, they were easily the best rap metal out and they went to average post-rock, id call sellouts but after the million and millions the first two ablums sold i dont think that would it

not defending linkin park but they're hardly different from Chode-ohs
Was obsessed for a long time, like everyone else. Have to go with Meteora though. Way too many awesome songs on that.
Though I do like everything they've put out. Mike Shinoda is amazing. I think that the step they took with M2M was necessary for them to maintain their popularity. If they had released another Meteora/Hybrid Theory I think people would've just gotten sick of them. Like alot of people said, bands need to branch out.
Btw, I usually hate rap, but "The Rising Tied" is one of my favorite albums. Some really great songs on that album.

Not defending Chiodos, but how can you say that without being heavily under the influence of drugs? They're SO different, just listen. And I don't even like Chiodos.

you don't like chiodos but you're name is after one of their songs? weird.
anywayz yes they are actually quite similar, when you think about it. both have higher pitched singing, big pop-oriented choruses, screaming everywhere, big metal guitars, use of string passages, accessibility, etc. sure there are minor differences, chiodos is more complex, linkin park has hip hop influences, but other than that they are the same band no?

Alright, there's similarities, but that can be said with almost any two bands. I just hate how you used the phrase "same band" . That's overboard dude

Came in here to say this, Hybrid Theory all the way. But really, that album is good and has some pretty great musicianship if you ask me, even in lyrics. It hits me really hard when Shinoda sings "everything falls apart / even the people who never frown eventually break down" in Pushing Me Away.
