Maybe it is just because Rachel is easily my least favorite character from Friends, but I always found her to be the least interesting of the group. Without Ross, Rachel would have been completely forgettable, where as I feel like Ross was a perfectly interesting character in his own right.

Juno is one of the shittiest characters from any film I've seen in the last 10 years. What the fuck?

This list is embarrassing.

05/28/10, 03:58 PM
If the Simpsons had stopped airing ten years ago, Homer might have been a good choice.

05/28/10, 04:02 PM
As long as Homer is at the top, I'm happy.
Daniel Plainview got robbed though. Has to be top 20.

Also, they probably picked Rachel because of the hairstyle.

I like that HP is number 2. I don't like The Simpsons so I'd rather have him be number 1 though.

05/28/10, 05:14 PM
And where's Seth Cohen?
Yeah, of the teen dramas of this generation, I think only Felicity made it (and probably because of the hair again). Cohen would have been good.

I second this man's motion. Also, no Malcolm Reynolds? And why is Cullen at 53?
Hagysaurus Rex
05/28/10, 07:54 PM
There's a lot of time/relevance issues in there. I mean, I dig Homer Simpson, Gollum, and Hannibal Lecter and all, but those characters predate 1990. Right?
Hagysaurus Rex
05/28/10, 08:00 PM

Juno is one of the most complicated, brilliantly written/acted, and, apparently, misunderstood characters on this list. Totally deserving. Should probably be higher.

The first thought that ran through my mind when I saw this thread was "if Napoleon Dynamite is on here I will punch someone." At least he's pretty near the bottom.

67. Borat
76. Tyler Durden
85. Daniel Plainview
94. Truman
My choices. I just deleted the ones I didn't like, hated vehemently, or didn't know who they were.
Pretty terrible list.
I'm not joking, and I'll defend that shit to my grave.
Every character in that movie is just an immature "screenwriter" talking through boring characters. You can tell it's some "hip" chick who wants to be "smart".
Juno herself is annoying, not unique, not interesting, and poorly acted.
They couldn't have chosen a less interesting actress to play her. She is the worst, and could possibly ruin Inception for me depending on how much she is used in it.

I didn't see an ounce of complexity in that character. Still better than her character in Hard Candy though, which might be the single worst movie I've ever seen in my life.

How is Rachel the character picked from Friends? She was arguably the worst of the six...
Also, no Ari Gold? No "Larry David" (for Curb Your Enthusiasm's sake)? Pretty soon, but Zach Galifianakis's Alan from The Hangover is pretty classic already...

I thought Homer Simpson was the only correct choice. Seriously, who doesn't like Homer?
But then I look on this list and see stupid shit like Hancock and I realize how pointless and ridiculous this is. Really? Hancock? Who gives two shits about this dude? If they're gonna pick a Will Smith character, why not the Fresh Prince? stupid people created this list.

Lots of thoughts.
First, Harry Potter should've been first, no doubt about it.
Second, although I'm pleased Elphaba made the list, I feel like she could've been a lot higher than she was. I'm impressed Mimi Marquez made it, and not Mark Cohen or Maureen Johnson, but nobody's perfect. Still.. Mimi higher than Elphaba?
...Not so good.
