Anyone in Pittsburgh/Philly? I don't know which one would be better. I was thinking of Pittsburgh cause I could room with my friend who has a similar major and wants to go, but they don't have my major program. Philly does.
Or if anyone could tell me about Philly in general, if that's a place where one would like to live.

Why not focus on RISD or Academy of Art?

Well I'll look into those I'm sure. But for the time being I'm asking about this.

Pittsburgh is really boring in my opinion. I live in Philly, and the atmosphere is so much better. Where are you from? I know someone who went to Art Institute of Pittsburgh and he transferred to Duquesne after a semester. I don't know anyone attending the one in Philly, but if you have any questions about the city, feel free to ask.

Never been a fan of Philly, I know a few people at AIP that seem to like that. And the streets of Pittsburgh never had a problem with me being absurdly drunk in public, so...if you're into that...

I really like Philly. It's one of the cities I'm looking at moving to when I jump into the "real world." I enjoy it there and usually find a lot of stuff to do. A bunch of people I know live there and love it, so yeah.
A friend of mine went to the AI in Philly and she really loved it, but ended up having to drop out because of some... trouble.:coke:
She's at an art school in Cali now (and hopefully off the nose candy), so I guess it worked out. But, yeah, she really liked AI and would probably recommend it.

This school has indirectly paid me thousands of dollars over the past year. That is my vague comment of the day.

I know a ton of people who go to the one in Philly and they said they love it. Philly is a great place for art, theres so much you can take advantage of that you might not get in Pitt.
I might be attending the art institute in philly in the fall as well (:

How real are these schools?
I almost attended there however they very funny with their words when I would receive letters from them. Example: I applied after doing a school tour on the Philly campus. I received a letter that sounded like an acceptance letter however when I called the school they told me it was not and I needed to come in to take my placement test in order to get it. It just sounded very sketchy.
