yea that's a contradictory statement.
frederalism = strong central government. democrats are for a strong central government. so you're either confused about the party to which you belong or you don't know what federalism means.

uh...the republican party is pretty pro-strong central gov't these days too. patriot act? warrantless wiretapping?
i mean, there are a lot of democrats that are all about having the gov't save us from everything, but you can't really pin strong central gov't on them alone.

Thats because the Republican party is acting like Democrats....We are seeing another party transformation...
But the actual citizens who are republicans don't necessarily feel that way.
Also you're seeing those things with security issues...
What about control on business, safety nets, universal health care, etc...thats all Democrats.

it's central government in a different form. republicans are for it in the sense of watching after the people day in and day out. democrats are for it in the sense of entitlement programs, regulation of business, and the general welfare state--and america has the smallest welfare state of any developed nation. but that's more due to the fact that anytime anyone wants the government to help people out, he or she is branded as a socialist.

well go talk to Sweden , Germany, France, etc and ask them about their welfare programs lol. The poor love it, but the middle class, businesses, etc..get fucked.
Its one or the other. Universal Healthcare or a safety net...countries cannot run while providing both. People need to take some responsibility.

i don't think, well, i KNOW universal healthcare wouldn't fly here, but i think there should be some sort of protection for those who can't afford it. maybe a govt. sponsored program for the poor and/or eldery, aside from medicare or medicaid, and then allow the people who CAN afford it, like the middle class and up, to choose their own private health care.

there is shit like that and people still don't to get it. Alot of people go and don't pay. I agree there are better way to spend are tax dollars, but people in our country need to give a little before they get alot. And I know this is a generalization, but there are too many people that try to take advantage of our situations.

this is why tax cuts need to stop. the government's not getting any revenue, or enough, so no programs can be created. it sucks--a lot.

yeah, I agree, tax credits should be given to corporations...when corporations do something to help out in certain situations, they should receive a benefit.
Well, I disagree with most federal programs, but the states do need help regulating certain programs and they need a uniting force to keep everything intact. So I really am not on either side.

I assume you're kidding, right? Not enough money....haha....
A lack of efficiency and prioritizing, not revenue or needed tax cuts, is the root of federal money "problems."
