First off is 90's Emo revival bands I am really into this sound now. I think there are a lot of great bands coming up that are doing this well. I just thought I would share a few of my favorites:

Tigers Jaw: http://www.myspace.com/tigersjaw
I think the Balance and Composure split will be in my top 10 of the year. Also, Balance and Composure's I Just Want to Be Pure EP is amazing.

Castevet: http://www.myspace.com/romancastevet
Another top ten for this year will probably be The Echo and the Light and Summer Fences was in my top ten for last year.

Hightide Hotel: http://www.myspace.com/hightidehotel
Listen to "I Know What the Word Gone Means". So Good.

Some other bands I like right now.
Punk:

RVIVR: http://www.rumbletowne.com/rtr/rtr-releases/RTR-009
I just discovered this band on the weekend. I can't believe I didn't know about this. New band from members of Latterman.

The Menzingers: http://www.myspace.com/themenzingers
Chamberlain Waits hasn't grown on me yet but I can't get enough of the Hold On, Dodge 7 inch.

Screamo:
Touche Amore: http://www.myspace.com/toucheamore
La Dispute: http://www.myspace.com/ladispute
I am so stoked for their new split 7 inch.

Pop Punk:

I've listened to Everyone Everywhere, Algernon Cadwallader and By Surprise but thanks I'll check out the others. It must be so good to live in Pennsylvania right now. They have all the good music.

It only took four posts until my topic became victim to shameless self-promotion.

This is your own band, isn't it? This topic wasn't supposed to be about self-promotion.

not necessarily doing it to promote myself. just thought it fit in with the other bands people are mentioning, and it's free.

but if you want another band 90s emo styled band, Jacket Weather. they're from Provo, Utah. very good guys.
