fugazi is one of the only bands keeping punk rock in its natural form these days, while their music might not sound as punk as nofx, what they stand for still stands strong, they have evolved into something really amazing
just thought ide add, that they never go into a show with a set list, they let the music guide them, they feed off eachothers emotions. they also like to be connected with the audience as much as possible they dont want to be playing to a bunch of heads, they want to be playing to people, i think fugazi is amazing

Ah, I love Fugazi. But yeah, that do have some odd funky stuff going on. I like it, good for making love. Then again, I think the Blood Brothers make a good soundtrack for sex.

yea they wont charge more than 5 $ for a show and alot of their shows are benifits, their cd's are never more than 10$ well atleast they are not soposed to be. even at boarders they are 9.99$ they do everything themselves, they dont interfear with the mainstream at all what so ever, they have their own label, they dont sell merch, becuase its not about that its about the music

I'm always impressed when bands have that type of philosophy
I don't know if you're into onelinedrawing, but all of his merch is priced optionally, The prices read "$6-$10" and whatnot, so you pay what you can afford.

I find that your mother screaming my name is a good soundtrack for sex.

lets not thread jack guys
Like Alex said, Dischord probably has more integrity than just about any label. They only sign bands that have put out an album on their own first, and they do everything out of the same house they've been using for 20 years now. All of their cds come postage paid at $10 (maybe 11 now). They keep their shows cheap, and generally shy away from making merch. They had a great piece on the label in Spin a couple months back, it's really inspiring. And yes, Ian McKaye gave birth to straight edge. So pay your damn respects you little fucks.
Ronin, my dad died 13 years ago, I've had plenty of time to get over it. I just knew you'd feel stupid for saying something.

I just listened to that a few minutes ago. And Dischord is actually very active. If you haven't heard q and not u yet, well, then you're a dumb fuck who needs to keep his ear to the ground.

I love the contrast of the back to back threads, seamlessly tied together by a fuck me. So yes, I'm reviving this thread because Fugazi kicks ass and q and not u does too.
