It's that time again. Here's some bands for you all to check out.
Early Next Year (http://www.myspace.com/earlynextyear) have posted a new song on their myspace page from their EP titled Sarcasm is Your Friend.
Maybridge (http://www.myspace.com/maybridge) has posted a new song on their myspace page. They've also added more show dates after being on a show haitus since Skate and Surf 2004.
The Scarlet Affair (http://www.absolutepunk.net/www.myspace.com/thescarletaffair) has called it quits.
The Cast Before the Break (http://www.myspace.com/thecastbeforethebreak) has posted two new demos on myspace.
Since its nationally televised debut on July 31st, Youngstown, OH's Another Found Self (http://www.absolutepunk.net/www.myspace.com/anotherfoundself) has been involved with NBC's online/television hybrid reality show STAR TOMORROW, headed up by Grammy winning producer David Foster. The band made round two and is now up for voting again this week to become one of the final 24 groups in the contest. To vote for them, click here (http://www.startomorrow.com/vote_head_to_head.php?matchupid=63&id=8) and also visit their MySpace for information on the band and upcoming dates.
The Promise Hero (http://www.myspace.com/thepromisehero) have made their debut EP available for purchase via their myspace page as well as added a new demo 'Winning or Losing' to their player.
You can see "The Making of" A Dead Giveaway (http://www.myspace.com/adeadgiveaway)'s upcoming music video at YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fp-M5LMOcEE). Check out their myspace for details on the actual video's release.
The Dangerous Summer (http://www.myspace.com/thedangeroussummer) (ex-Lowercase) is set to record their debut EP this December with producer Paul Leavitt (Senses Fail, All Time Low, Over It).
Monday morning at 12:01 am (EST), The Years Gone By (http://www.myspace.com/theyearsgoneby) will be posting a brand new song called "Anniversary" only on their PureVolume.com page.
This Years Anthem (http://www.myspace.com/thisyearsanthem) just returned home from being on the road all summer and have posted a DVD teaser, on their myspace page from their upcoming DVD. Check it out and let em know what you think.
Fighting to Forget (http://www.myspace.com/fightingtoforget) have posted a new song with a new singer who is trying out for the band. The band ask that you listen to the demo and give them your feedback about that so they can help choose a new vocalist.
If you'd like to submit a piece of news about a small unsigned band that you're in or that you know about, please submit it to this link right here (melissa.johnson@absolutepunk.net). Please make sure it is a RELEVANT and well put-together news post and include all working links for the band and whatever relates to the news submission. Also, please do not e-mail us with the news that you're apart of Bamboozle Left's Break Contest or Alt Press's Almost Famous Contest.
Also, a band in Ft Worth, Texas will be looking for a new member (no word on position of the spot as of yet) after I find out who they were, hunt them down, and beat them with a bat for sending me cocky-ass "post about my band" IMs at 4AM and waking me up from my sleep on a night that I had to get up before 6AM for school the next day. I'll let you know more as I find out who the fuck it was.
Rule to any bands in the future: If my away message has anything to do with "sleeping" or hints at sleep, DO NOT IM ME or you will incure my wrath and I will find you and beat you down. Better yet, don't IM me, EMAIL ME AT THE BOLD LINK. Thank you.
