Also, it's not the radio single, it's just for fans.
Look for remixes from The Fray, and others, to appear around the internet shortly.

i would love to think that's true, but after the disaster that was their last album i was really hoping with their old producer they'd go back to their original sound and it looks like they managed to get even worse. this is a very sad day for me because i was really hoping they'd come back strong but that song is more disappointing than anything on the new yellowcard album (and i almost didn't go outside for a week after that record)

lol, to be honest i hated GC when i first heard them.. they are from around this area and there was a local music channel called MHz, and it did not have commercials really, it had these local commercials and non-profit commercials only (so the same commercials got played over and over since there were so few). anyway, GC was in their studio for some show once and the commercial for it played like 1312413532 times everyday and i was always so annoyed.
but i like them, a lot, now, after giving them a listen. this new single is kinda weird, but i think after a few more listens it will grow on me. on their site it says they are gonna be handing it out at shows on CDRs

Its a fun song, nothing more. If this was some random indie band from the UK, people would probably love it. Its also a remix- its not even the real version of the song. I like it, it kinda sounds like a mix of Bloodhound Gang and Limp Bizkit or something, and to me thats a good thing so screw you. Sure, its NOT as good as their first album but whatever. And also I dont see how people can rave about the new Justin Timberlake and then bash this... this songs a way better dance song than "SexyBack" or w/e the fuck that song is.

To the person that posted way up above about Good Charlotte being the first band they liked before they got big and they saw them blow up and sell out.
Same thing here man. New Found Glory and Good Charlotte both were the first bands I saw blow up after seeing them before they made it big.
Isn't it amazing how much those bands are on opposite ends of the spectrum? NFG remains, for the most part, true to their roots, and they are actually coming out with better albums and keeping their "cred" or whatever. Good Charlotte on the other hand are changing with each new album, and they are getting worse and worse and they have lost any credibility they had once before. It's insane how these bands toured just a few years ago and led the pop-punk revival and now things are so much different...
And I totally understand about liking a band before they get big. I know people talk shit about "who cares how big a band is" and all that...but everyone knows deep down there's a certain connection you have to a band when none of your friends know them...it's like your place to escape really...and then you see the people who always gave you a hard time listening to the band you tried to get them into...my ex-best friend (he just flaked out with a girl and doesn't come around anymore, it had nothing to do with the music episode lol) made me hate trendy people so much honestly...I tried to get him into NFG for over a year and he said they sucked and wouldn't listen to them...when "My Friends Over You" hit MTV he wouldn't even pay attention to the video when I begged him to give them a chance...then some girl on AIM and I were talking about how great NFG was and my buddy chimes in with "OH MAN THEY ARE AWESOME!1" And then a few days later I asked him to pick up the new CD for me cuz he was going out and I told him I'd pay him back. He then tried to charge me $7 for a BURNED copy of the CD and said he was keeping the original because he was a bigger fan than me because he had heard more songs than me (there was like 1 more song on the new album than there was on my playlist)...so yeah I know how you feel about people like that.

It's insane how these bands toured just a few years ago and led the pop-punk revival and now things are so much different...
NFG's new album is veryyyyy boring for the most part. I was extremely disappointed, Catalyst was their best imo.

Same here for the groove stuff ;)
And by the way:
MY LOVE > Sexy Back
Wow! talkin about JT in a GC thread..
How ironic is that please?!
Don't like this song posted.
Don't like the 'danceflooring's direction the band is taking.
GC - I Heard You..
This is what GC sounds for me, this is what GC will keep being for me.

Its my opinion... Sticks & Stones is great too, but it gets a little stale after about the 7th or 8th song. People really hate when I say this, but I think their self-titled album sucks. Its got like 2 good songs, and thats the 2 singles (Hit or Miss, Better off Dead), the rest of the album all sounds the same-ish. And I've never heard Nothing Gold Can Stay cause I can never find it. Catalyst just has the most variety and doesn't seem to get boring nearly as quick as the others. So here's how I'd rank the NFG albums I've heard:
Catalyst
Sticks & Stones
Coming Home
self-titled

Maybe they WANT you to think it's "terrible" that way you're surprised when the actual CD comes out?
:shrugs:
Just a theory.
Nah, I just think they're shitty. Good Charlotte has this tendency to try way too hard on their records to sound "different" and they end up sounding like they're just trying to sound unlike every other pop-rock band on the radio. I would much rather put on a record by Simple Plan over Good Charlotte, who can't write a good hook or melody for the life of them. Joel could also stand to get some singing lessons, too. I think his voice is putrid crap.

Anyone else think that they were in the wrong page because GC is trying to look like AFI with there main pic?
I see the drummer is gone too. Good for him, regardless.
lol, i think the drummer has been gone for a long time... aaron right? i think that was his name, i think he went to the band Wakefield (another local maryland band that is friends with GC)
and to whoever was talking about GC not staying to their "roots" or sounding the same... who cares? it is their band, they can make whatever kinda music they want. at least they are being creative and trying new ideas

I disagree. 'Young and Hopeless' was a straight-up hookfest! Even GC's self-titled record had more than a handful of catchy pop-punk songs. 'Chronicles' was beyond awful though...

Are you hearing impaired?
And how can you say you were into NFG and GC when they were 'blowing up.' GC didn't blow up, they were just -- there. And this would be during ENTIRELY different time periods as NFG was still ANFG at their point of trying to get 'maximum exposure'
Proof? Who headlined the FIRST surf & skate fest...
Who all of the sudden was playing the second one on the main stage... and coincidentally appearing in the video for Jude Law and a Semester Abroad..
And if you say you were liking MCR before they 'blew up' you'd have to have been one of the ones waiting WEEKS to get your friggin copy of ..Brought You My Bullets... preorder MY ASS.
I think I remember why I deleted my last forum name.

Good for you. So have I. And I stand by my statement: their songs are instantly forgettable, especially on their last album and even on the album before. I liked their first CD for a while, but it has not aged well, and has nothing that is memorable about it, in my opinion.
If you feel differently, that's cool. I'm just saying, this band has not got anything in them that should anyone famous, and I do not get why they are popular. I think their songs are awful and have no substance.
EDIT: I saw your previous post, and you seem to be a big GC fan, which is fine, but this song and this band are everything that defines the word "horrible" and I am embarrassed to even be posting in this thread they are so shitty.

Watch out, he's heard a shitload of music.
Some of the catchiest shit ever, actually, came out of the 80s in a little movement called Hair Metal.
Young and the Hopeless was very catchy, I didnt even get past like song 3 on that other crap Love & Death. And its usually a tell tale sign a record blows when they try to make you buy 2 versions of it...
Want another example? Take off your pants and jacket... the only good songs WERE the bonus'.. not the disgusting ones either you Grandpa fuckers.
You want catchy? Throw on some Poison.. Bon Jovi... or Never Heard of It-- now thats fucking catchy.

I tried to listen to it, but I couldnt. Holy balls, it was bad. It kept getting worse each second. Its like diarrhea, each passing second you wish you were dead, but once its done, you feel better that you dont have to deal with shit anymore...for awhile atleast.

I'm really trying to give them another shot but I really thought they were going to go in a different direction than this. I don't care if this isn't the actual version and it's a remix but the lyrics are absolutely ridiculous.
They always do a song that's really bad between albums.
Last time they did a song with NERD, and it was... akward. But apperently this one will be on the album. Heh. I don't like it much. At least they're honest and said it took 4 min to make.
