Really?
I think every album is great in its own way. They never repeat themselves and always manage to do something creative

I believe I made this poll a few months ago, but you expressed concern that I didn't include the Tremulant EP. My favorite is Frances, but only narrowly over Deloused.

Definitely true, but De-loused is still better methinks.

Deloused is my favorite, but the Tremulant EP is fucking amazing. Sad to see it doesn't have any votes. I bet a lot of Volta fans don't even know about it.

Yeah man it's all good. I will always support Mars Volta discussion/at the top of the poll forum. Just don't be bummed when Deloused gets all the praise and wins by a landside. It's inevitable.

Has anyone seen Get Him to the Greek? Jonah Hill makes a reference to TMV in the movie, then plays one of their tracks over a speaker.

Can anyone drop in the "best one to start with" bit?
I tried listening to Octahedron but couldn't get into it. I'm a big fan of TSOAF's debut record, if that helps.

I couldn't tell what song it was; he only played it for a couple seconds, then made a crazy face, haha. You should see the movie by the way; best comedy so far this year.

didn't expect AMP to be so low, that album has some good cuts.

Agreed on both counts. Viscera Eyes is among my absolute favorite songs of theirs. No question it's a better record than their last two. Bedlam is just flashier (thank you Pridgen) and Octahedron is more accessible.

i've been debating if it's better (as a whole) than bedlam, recently though

Deloused will win by an absolute landslide, but I probably prefer Bedlam. I chose on accident cos I'm halfway retarded. I hate Amputhecture.
