'Ello there!
We've just finished our new EP! It's called 'First Time Caller, Long Time Listener' and the whole thing is now streaming / available to download over at http://www.archive.org/details/DontLetParisFoolYou
It'd be rad if you wants to check it out. Might be your cup of tea if you like your acoustic / sing-a-long folky stuff. Though it's a bit more punky than the rest of the bands on that list!
Let us know what you think!

this guy...i like the way you think. most of this i already listen to, however, can't even be upset with that due to the quality of artists on this list. this is what i'm talking about.

only listened to one song. it's pretty solid and fun. normally i'm not ok with people promoting on my threads that aren't for promotion, but whatever, i've done it too. just be careful...it can really piss people off.
with that being said, it's solid stuff, and i'll probably download a track or 2.
since you promoted on my thread...and i actually listened....you should listen to my stuff then:

the EP is available for free download there.

Hey man, this is a local band. They are like folk/bluegrass/pop. They are a local band from my area, but I believe they have a lot of talent and are far stronger than any other local band I've heard. They are called Mary and the Giant.

Dallas Green (The clean vocalist/ guitarist from Alexisonfire) does folk songs under his alias City and Colour. You could check him out if you want.

I'll throw out some obvious ones, but just because they need to be listened to (you've most likely heard of these, just in case though):
Fleet Foxes
Bon Iver
Bob Dylan
Johnny Cash
M. Ward
Old Crow Medicine Show (more of a bluegrass/folk)
Wilco
Also, check out the Cold Mountain soundtrack, it's awesome.

I seriously suggest you check out my good friend Nathan Parent. This isn't just some random promotion for the guy, he's REALLY good. His debut album comes out very very soon, he's been in the studio recording it for over a year.
He has some demos up on MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/NathanParent)
and he has a new free song up on Bandcamp (http://nathanparent.bandcamp.com)
