Simms is a good QB, but he has always been overated. While I want him to do well I know he never will. Just like he could never win the big game at Texas.

However, I don't think anyone can question his toughness after what he did today. And at college I can remember once when he dislocated his finger on one play, got it put back in place, and played in the next play.

Bruce Gradkowski (rookie from Toledo) is listed as their #2, and he got the snaps on the series Simms came out. They also have Tim Rattay as their #3.

The ESPN article says it happened at the end of the third qtr., when he had to leave the field.

Sucks for Simms and the Bucs though... I think he'll be good, but Gruden was putting too much pressure on the kid. He'll be out at least 6-8 weeks.

If Simms is out for the season, that'll give the other two QB's a shot at doing something good for tampa. but Simms isn't the only problem, the D isn't living up to what it's known for, the offensive line is holding up strong enough.

Tampa, probably. They at least have a team with the talent, namely on D, to pull out a win here and there despite everything, but Oakland has just looked godawful so far.

Tampa is not nearly as bad as Oakland. They played a lot better today but just barely lost it at the end. Hopefully they'll come around and make a push for a WildCard slot. I have seen plenty of teams that start out 3-0 and suck and teams that start out 0-3 and do well. Anything can happen still.

But I'm really interested to see how Gradkowski plays. He's a Pittsburgh native, and one of my friends said he's the next Joe Montana. I don't see that at all, obviously. Still though, I wanna see how he does.
