According to a recent bulletin, you can expect to see a Reel Big Fish (http://www.reelbigfish.com) Greatest Hits collection via the band's former label, Jive Records (http://www.jiverecords.com), in stores this November.

<--- Confused.

I'm leaning towards believing that one more release was needed to fulfill the band's contract, but I could be terribly wrong.

The problem I have with that is that they were dropped.

Maybe someone at the label realized the band still owed them something and wanted to be an asshole?

Never put it past major labels to release carbon copies of what's already out there.

nah, i think they're just trying to cash in while they can.

While that may be true, if they wanted to "cash in", wouldn't it of made more sense to not let the band exit their roster?

Favourite Noise was a UK release.

I completely agree. I wouldn't call myself surprised if Jive limited the tracklist to "Beer", "Sell Out", "She Has a Girlfriend Now", and "Take On Me."

what they should do is make a cd of RBFs favorite songs if they do n e thing

So they're reissuing the "sellout" single?

True story, well said. Simple and to the point, lol.

Another story of a major trying to capitalize on a band's success. I wonder if rbf gets a say about what goes on there?

They probably don't have any more albums left. A label can put out a greatest hits album if they want to without contractual obligation since they do own those songs.

I'm pretty sure it's crap like this that has Aaron so relieved to be out of a label's cruel grips.

What "hits" exactly? Jive hardly pushed RBF anyway, and they are hardly the band that should have a greatest hits collection. They might as well just title it "fan favorites" because Jive doesn't know shit about RBF and never did.
