What's the best of Wes?
I personally went for The Royal Tenenbaums but Rushmore's a close second.
Wes hasn't made a bad film.

I have seen and love all of these movies. I would go Royal > Mr. Fox > Life Aquatic > Bottle Rocket > Darjeeling > Rushmore. For some reason I didn't like Rushmore. Probably because I saw it when it first came out and I was pretty young and didn't understand the nuances. The rest I've seen repeatedly, I watch Royal Tenenbaums all the time. One of my favorite movies ever.

I would have to say that The Royal Tenenbaums is probably my favorite. After that, the competition is pretty wide open. The Life Aquatic and Rushmore would probably be the front-runners for number 2, but I have only seen The Darjeeling Limited and Fantastic Mr. Fox once or twice each so it is hard to say for sure. And while I do love Bottle Rocket, it doesn't quite stand up to The Life Aquatic or Rushmore. Like the OP said, Wes has never made a bad film.

The Life Aquatic.
I've seen all of them on the list but Rushmore and Bottle Rocket. Judging from the results, I say I need to see Rushmore soon!
Oh, and The Darjeeling Limited has to be my least favorite out of the ones I've seen.

I was about to say good job to the other person that voted Life Aquatic! Rushmore is a great film but I think just because how unique it is I had to go with Life Aquatic.

I thought the Darjeeling Limited was pretty good. I thought rushmore was lame. I tried to like it, but i couldn't. I'd like to see the Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I fucking love Wes Anderson's films soo much. Royal Tenenbaums is number one of course, but Rushmore is really close, and then Fantastic Mr.Fox is close after that. They're all so good:)

Bill Murray & Jason Schwartzman- that's my reasoning.
It's a perfect little film. But that can be said of all of his, it just depends on which one affects you personally.
No-one does atmosphere like Wes.

Only one I've seen is The Royal Tenenbaums, and I literally don't remember a thing from that movie, except that it wasn't good.

False.
It's a beautiful story of redemption. Definitely my favorite.
I honestly didn't really enjoy The Darjeeling Limited. I probably should give it another try though.
Fantastic Mr. Fox was gold too.

Rushmore > Fantastic Mr. Fox > Life Aquatic > Darjeeling > Royal Tenenbaums > Bottle Rocket
I know most Anderson fans think Royal Tenenbaums is the best, but I really didn't get into it as much. Rushmore for the win.

Haha, alright. Like I said, I don't really remember.
My favorite of the bunch has gotta be Rushmore. Easily one of the best comedies of the last 20 years. Bill Murray was excellent, and the soundtrack is perfect.

I love Rushmore. It just has a laid back feel. It's not shaking in front of your face trying to make you laugh. Also, it has one of the best revenge scenes in cinema history. But, I respect your opinion all the same.

Agreed.
Rushmore is probably his best, and got my vote but my favorites are Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Darjeeling Limited.

Love all his movies, but have never seen Bottle Rocket, though I need too. Need to re-watch Tenebaums and Life Aquatic, been so long since I've watched them.

I saw it for the first time on TV yesterday. It was good, but I don't think it was the best of Wes' films.
In my opinion, this is the order of the films:
1. Rushmore
2. The Life Aquatic
3. The Royal Tenenbaums
4. Fantastic Mr. Fox
5. Bottle Rocket
6. Darjeeling Limited

Life Aquatic is one of my favorite movies of all time, so that got my vote, but Bottle Rocket is really being underrated here - I wouldn't put it above Royal Tenenbaums, but I'm surprised. Also, anyone who hasn't seen that movie needs to

No, it isn't his best. I agree with you there. I was just surprised by how few people voted for it. Personally, my fav Wes film is The Royal Tenenbaums.

Rushmore, Rushmore, a thousand times...Rushmore (Life Aquatic and Royal Tenenbaums are still very good though)
Haven't seen Fox yet, but of the first five, definitely Bottle Rocket.
