ICON Music Entertainment Services signees, The Graduate (http://www.myspace.com/thegraduaterock), will be recording their full length debut record with Brian McTernan (Thrice, Cave In, Circa Survive, Senses Fail). The record is scheduled to come out in April of 2007.

I would have liked to hear John Paul Wisner produce these guys - as long as he doesn't record it like June, I'll be okay with it I guess. Never been big on his production on poppy records though.

I agree with June, but didn't he do Moneen as well? They're relatively poppy and I think the production on that CD is awesome. The choruses all give me this feeling like I'm soaring. But anyway... I think this could be good. I really like The Graduate.

Has anyone heard the new HIPV with McTernan producing? That should be the tie breaker.

This is absolutely amazing for these guys. I was in the studio with them last time when they recorded their newest song "Stay the Same" and to think they are going to be in a studio with a man who has put out some of my favorite records...just wow.

The Graduate doesn't really seem like a band I see Brian McTernan, of all people, producing, but I like both of their work - so who knows?

But yes, I agree with you, Jason - James Paul Wisner would have been a good pick. Seems more fitting to me.
