Picture Atlantic.
Picture Atlantic has a very familiar yet fresh sound. In the vein of Copeland and Mae indie rock, they make a stale scene littered with mediocre hardcore and pop punk bands seem fresh again. Solid drumming, expert bass and guitar work, and emotive yet soulful vocals keep you on your toes. Their debut ep "Change is Welcome", has six songs that will keep you listening for months.
Tracks like "Aubrun Hair" and "There Will Be Words" are upbeat and catchy, while "Nablus" goes from piano soft to full roar with an emotional climax. This disc is $7 and available to order through SMartpunk and on the bands myspace.
