1985 Bears Break Up; All Hell Breaks Loose

The 1985 Bears (http://groups.myspace.com/scotbohnisaconartist) have broken up and all sorts of drama has gone down.
Chicago, IL based indie-rock band The 1985 Bears have recently disbanded. To diminish any type of rumors from spreading, here is the official statement from the band and management.

Singer/Guitarist Scot Bohn was asked to leave The 1985 Bears due to personal and creative conflicts. It was recently revealed that Bohn is a tried and true con artist with charges pending against him and negative intentions. Furthermore, it was also revealed that Bohn had been stealing money, equipment, etc. from band members, management, venues, labels, and fans.

The internet rumors about The 1985 Bears signing to Epitaph Records, touring with FalloutBoy, and having band members related to band members of FalloutBoy were started solely by Scot Bohn without the band or management's knowledge; to gain publicity for himself. It was discovered that Bohn started said online rumors, then promoted himself via FalloutBoy's message board to find fans he could scam money out of by means of selling The 1985 Bears merchandise to them, and then not making any note of it in the band's merchandise order and shipping log. The money was hid from the other band members and management and spent exclusively by Bohn on himself for non-band related purchases, in addition to never sending out any of the aforementioned merchandise orders
whatsoever. Bohn continued to attempt to fuel his own personal publicity by claiming The 1985 Bears were signed to Epitaph Records and touring with FalloutBoy. The 1985 Bears were not signed to Epitaph Records or on any tour with FalloutBoy.

Bobby, Jim, Scotty, and Krystin would like to apologize to anyone who has ever ordered merchandise from Scot Bohn and never received it.

I am in Midnight Fall and basically, MF went to arizona, recorded a full length in a studio, Went home. He was supposed to mail tracks and never did. He gave false tracking numbers and stopped answering phone calls. MF lost like 2,000 and we stil havent put out a full length, This all happened before I joined but Thankfully I was in on the drama. (not.) Dude is not cool, But hey at least we are still alive. i've met the jackass and immediately didn't like him. he had this "i'm better than you but i'll try not to make you look dumb" attitude and picked a fight with my group of friends. he ended up giving me his phone number and we hung out at a local diner (which i had to pick him up for, and he was staying with his ex-gf, jamie, who lives about 40 minutes away from me). he proceeded to gloat about how he was friends with all these well-known bands, and he's toured with MEST, and when he was living in AZ with his parents they used to let jimmyeatworld stay at his house after shows, basically just trying to namedrop and make himself seem cool. he told me he was making a record at jamie's house and he needed to get away from the city to make it, and even gave me a cd of his crappy music. he called it gunnison and it was horrible. the mix cd he made me wasn't too bad though, so at least i got something good out of it. if anyone ever meets him, or even sees him across the aisle in walmart, punch him for everyone he's ever hurt, stolen money from, or conned somehow.
