View Full Version : The Official Supernatural Thread
Alright, I know that there's a couple other threads about this show, but none of them are that serious. Maybe that's because not that many people on here watch this show, but so be it, if there's only one or two other people discussing this fantastic show with me I'm fine with that.
So, on to the season premiere of Season 2. Wow. That's all I have to say. Fuckin' great. I was so excited before it started and I was left anything but disappointed.
Anyone who is a fan of "supernatural" (for a lack of a better word) TV shows, I think you should watch this. I recommend it to all of you out there who miss the show Angel.

I'm thinking of giving it a shot, but i really have plenty to watch right now.

I hear you, there's a lot of good stuff on right now, I think. Maybe try renting some of the first season from Blockbuster or something. I really fuckin' love this show. I just hope they don't ruin it when they add those three slut demon hunters they've been showing clips of on commercials.
I'm hoping all the fans of this show on here are in different time zones.

My second favorite show on TV, behind LOST. I thought the way they did the premiere set the whole season up to be great and interesting, though it was kind of a surprise. I'm really looking forward to the story. Anyone who loves this show should go buy the season on DVD, I did for like 35 bucks and it was well worth it, even though I had already seen it on TV.

It kind of reminded me of the X-Files so thats how I first started watching the show. I loved the season premiere last night! Great episode to start the season.

Yes, it's probably my favorite behind LOST as well. I need to pick up Season 1 sometime soon. The premiere was ridiculously good.

I just want it to be about the two brothers and their adventures, not 2 brothers + 3 of the devil's tramps

awww shit man, that sucks you missed the end....lemme break it down
The dad made a deal with the big, bad demon for Dean's life. He gave the demon The Colt with the last bullet and himself. So he's dead, and the brothers basically don't know what to do now.

Man I love this show. It's so good. It's looking like Ellen, her daughter, and Ash will just be reoccuring characters, which is good, doesn't seem like they'll ruin the show. That hunter for next week is looking pretty intriguing. Can't wait till next week.

I like this topic. Who cares if others don't post...it just makes it more intimate. They have no idea what they are missing.
Any episode that has a sick decapitation and AC/DC in the first 5 minutes is going to be great. Cool episode, I wonder if them making an enemy out of Gordon is going to come back to bite them in future episodes.

new episode last night, who watched it?
it was ... okay.
didn't surprise me or anything.
i hope they will stick to new plots for each episode instead of rehashing ideas that they already did
Episode wasn't bad. I kind of like how they keep giving nods to old horror movies, with the ol' "infected"/zombie movies with that episode a few weeks back and next week's episode looking very The Shining-esque

i assume that there are not a lot of supernatural fans here ...?
so i just watched the lasted episode featuring the dolls and the ending was weak.
The girl just kills her little sister and calls it a day? wtf? dean and sam didn't even had to kick anybody asses or do some weird chant. Like the writers couldn't figure out how to end it or something. Gah.
Yeah, the episode was lacking. I was mostly watching the Scrubs musical for the first half hour too but it didn't seem like I missed anything.

I didn't know there was a supernatural thread here. That's pretty awesome. I really love this show. I've tried to get all my friends into it, but only one of them watches it. So I'll finally have someone to talk about the show with. I did think the last episode was a little lame, but the dolls were really creeping me out. Somebody said something about zombies. Man that would be so awesome if they had a whole zombie episode. I've been a fan of this show since it started. I really like the whole croatoan thing this season, because I've always thought that whole Roanoke thing was interesting.

Yeah I was talking about that very episode when discussing zombies, just cus the whole thing almost had a Dawn of the Dead/28 Days Later vibe too it with the paranoia over being infected. A true zombie episode would be nice though.

I picked up the first season on DVD at Best Buy on a whim and it turned out to be an amazing show. The dynamic between Sam and Dean is hilarious and it definitely reminds me of the good X-Files episodes, a.k.a the ones where they go monster hunting and with no silly conspiracy stuff. It's got me hooked; great writing and acting combined with the CW's obligatory use of extremely attractive women make this a great show.
The episode tonight was absolutely brilliant. Sam and Dean are two of my favorite characters on TV right now. The ending was so slick.

Yeah, but come on, it was sweet. The song playing was perfect too.
I was just glad that the shapeshifter didn't turn into Dean again and then got killed to save his ass the same way again hah.

I really enjoyed the ending, especially Dean's statement about their current predicament haha. I kinda groaned when I heard the song start, but you really couldn't do that scene without playing it either.
I found myself throughout most of the episode wondering how on earth they would get out of this one. I can't help but reiterate what Dean said, but they are so screwed.
Tonight was so-so. Pretty disappointing. A little to "message-y" for me. Next week looks good though.
Tonight's was good. Bobby is the man. Him getting Sam with the holy watered down beer and then branding him to mess up the "demon-lock" were great. Next week looks crazy.

I didn't even see the whole thing but it definitely wasn't worthy after that long of a break. It seems like they're running out of ideas and regurgitating old plotlines. I need some more 'wow' moments from the show and some more interesting revelations. Hopefully next week delivers.

Dean went to find a djinn, djinn snuck up on him and works some magic on him. dean wakes up in an odd house, with a beautiful woman, who he soon finds out is his wife. He heads to his old home, and finds his mother alive. Finds out his dad died from a stroke in his sleep, and that Jessica is still alive and with Sam. Sam asks Jessica to marry him. Dean also finds out that him and Sam do not hunt any longer. During all of this, Dean sees a strange etheral girl appearing everywhere, but disappearing when he gets close or looks away. Dean senses something is amist and goes with Sam and finds the djinn again. The etheral girl he has been seeing is there, and the djinn is draining her blood from her body in order to stay alive. Dean goes up to her and sees she is in a trance, dream-like state. Dean realizes that the same thing could be happening to him. Soon, all of the characters from his dream appear and beg him not to kill himself in order to awaken from the dream. Although very tough for Dean, he stabbs himself and awakens in the lair of djinn, tied up. Sam lets him go and together, they kill the djinn.
hope this helps

Well you could always grab torrents of it if you're into that sort of thing, I know they're out there. I hope there's another season as well. I don't think this season grabbed me like the last one did but I think it has a lot to do with all the distractions in life I've had. It's been picking up lately. Season 2 started off really strong and then I think dropped off a bit in the middle and is now picking up steam again. I'm really surprised that it's still on TV, I don't know anyone else who watches it and there's only a few on this site who are faithful to it. When amazing shows like Black Donnellys get cancelled it amazes me that this is still on. I guess there are just a lot of fans out there that I don't know about, that or the CW is a lot more loyal to shows than the sharks at the big networks.

Yeah, I like how they've kept it a little ambiguous as to if the Angels are really all that "angelic". Last week's was sort of a filler episode, nice and creepy, classic Supernatural, but sort of a let down with how much plot advancement happened the first couple episodes.

I've read the sides and seen some spoilers for the first few episodes and I don't know if it's spoilery to say but...
The first 4 episodes after the break are all MOTW-type episodes and don't have much to do with the whole Heaven vs. Hell story arch. I for one can only say THANK GOD. I'm chagrined about the whole epic story they're trying to do - I think it's too big for their budget and time restrictions. I didn't care at all for the last two episodes and in before "you just hate the women." I've gotten that a lot.
Also, John isn't in Hell. When Jake opened the gates at the end of season 2, John escaped and helped the boys kill the YED. Then he had the whole sparkley light thing going on that has happened when the Winchesters get ghosts to move on so I can only assume his soul is at rest now, either in Heaven or where ever. The guys have mentioned (see Road Kill) that they don't know where the spirits go.
Wow, TL;DR. Heh.

I'll admit it wasn't what I was expecting, so it was almost a let down, but it's still one of my all time favourite T.V shows.
I really can't wait to see what Kripke has in store for us.

just watched the season 3 finale. massive spoilers follow.
holy crap that was good. the girl's portrayal of lilith was chilling. the few seconds of hell at the end of the episode was simply disturbing. too bad the blonde chick is gone. i'm sure ruby will be back, but the actress who played her in season 3 was really hot. knowing that there will be at least two more seasons kind of ruined it for me, though, as far as dean being in hell and all that. didn't expect him to actually go there, but once he did, i knew that he'd be brought back somehow, so when sam started crying over dean's dead body (great, great acting), i was able to bear it.
but anyway, so far the series has been getting better with every season. if the rest of the series follows this trend, then it's quickly becoming my most favorite tv series of all time.
finals next week. gonna pick up season 4 when winter break starts. can hardly wait.

Thought I might join in on the Supernatural talk here.
Season 5 mid-season special just occurred just a few weeks back.
My girlfriend's uncle works onset in Vancouver as a special effects artist and best boy for the series. He answered some questions I had regarding the future of Supernatural (none of this regards to storyline as much as it does to what the show is doing post season)
He mentioned that Erik Kripke was originally planning to cut the show after the 3rd season, but the money was too good and the viewers were growing so... 2 more seasons were on the board. Now of course the big thing is that this is the last season of Supernatural, but apparently Kripke is just plain sick of the show, happy with his millions, and looking for a way out. At the moment he's talking with other people to sell Supernatural and someone else will keep it running for however long they want. If no deal suits Kripke, the show is finished as originally planned. This is said to effect how the writers will finish this serious.

What an awesome episode. This show is so criminally underrated it makes me sick.
So thoughts? I think that the prophet (Chuck) is actually god, and that Sam was brought back to life, but he won't tell Dean because he wants him to live the happy, "normal" life he deserves.

I definitely agree. I always look for a "Jeffrey Dean Morgan" in the opening credits, but I'm always left saddened. I feel like his story wasn't exactly tied up, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore.
I really liked the whole Chuck overview through the whole episode, and the scene where Sam is taking over from Satan and we get all of the flashbacks, it was nice. I have to say, I'm looking forward to the show going "back to basics", since in my eyes, Sam and Dean haven't really been Sam and Dean for a little while.

My girlfriend and I (who is oddly named forgetdecemberr on this website and xbox, lol) both died laughing at the hey assbutt scene. Stuff like that is honestly what separates this show from the other drivel on CW, it doesn't take itself too seriously.
But yeah, when you think of Chuck as "writing the story" of Sam and Dean, it all becomes so much more clear.

The fact that Chuck is writting what happens before it does, kind of makes me feel that he is guiding the story as god, and not just hearing it.

I've heard straight from the creators (well, online) that the sixth season will be a "back to basics" in form. Essentially more like Season 1 and 2 as opposed to the overall story arc. Sam and Dean are two of my favorite characters to ever grace television, so it'll be nice to see them happy again.
That finale was the best television experience I've ever seen. It's amazing how every episode just seems to get better than the last one. What a way for Eric Kripke to step down as the showrunner. Absolutely can't wait for this season to come out on DVD.

I'm pretty sure that's part of what killed Dollhouse, I'm slightly concerned that they want it to fail because they want to make way for new shows. On the other hand, SPN has a huge fan base, so maybe it's nothing to worry about.

Good episode. I'm not sure how I feel about how dark the episode was (hope the whole season isn't going to be like that), but I guess it makes sense considering the subject matter of the opener.
The only thing that I'm afraid of is that the show isn't going to have episodes like the black and white "Monster Movie" episode or the Groundhog's Day-esque episode where Dean dies over and over again. I feel like those episodes really made the show start to stand on its own.

a trend in the fifth season was they'd have the episode start funny and then go dark. they might continue that. i remember that one in particular where dean dies a hundred times was actually very heavy emotionally as well. and i think they're bound to make at least one wholly comedic episode this season that's a tribute to all the horror movies and whatnot, sort of like they've been doing the entire time. can't really know for sure, though. the departure of kripke as a writer hopefully didn't affect that part of the essence of the show.

i really like how they used yellow eyes to show just how much lisa and ben really mean to dean, and that scene in the end plus the montage in the beginning were a great reminder of what the series was before season 4 when angels stepped into the picture.
with gramps back, you have to wonder who else was brought down. and we still have no idea where john, mary, ellen, and jo are, since ash said he couldn't find any of them up there.
if you watch the vids of the panel at comic-con this year, they said they were going back to the roots and focusing more on the monsters this season. gramps said they've been seeing things they've never seen before, so already this direction is showing a lot of potential.
i really liked this episode. pulled some surprises, and had some powerful scenes also. with the whole sam's been back the entire time thing, i think they handled that really well.
i wonder if this will be the start of another multi-season story arc. i think i would actually like that.

i was also wondering, was one year enough to entirely switch sam and dean's characters? in last night's episode, sam said he wanted dean with him because dean went to save his neighbors without even thinking about it. what was dean thinking? and sam was the one that bobby said kept going and rescuing the people from that demon-filled building in two minutes to midnight. he's supposed to be the one who wouldn't hesitate to save a life. did hell change him and make him colder? and did living with lisa and ben for a year and having a normal apple-pie life make dean softer?

Exactly. That's my main gripe with the entire episode. Sam's "reasoning" for why he wanted Dean to come with him is just such bad writing. "You're the one who won't hesitate." Dean was in hell much, much longer than Sam was, but Dean still came back the same guy, albeit a bit angrier, but he bounced back. Sam's character became absolutely stoic, and Dean became a baby, neither of which would happen. It felt like a new spinoff of Supernatural; the characters just weren't themselves at all.
Oh well, I guess I always have next episode. I'll hold my judgment until then. It just sucks, because SN is my favorite show currently running.

So, I watched the episode again and I liked it a lot more this time around. I don't know if it was the constant commercial breaks that ruined the flow, or the cable box making the shows colors look weird, but for some reason I enjoyed it a lot more. Dean wasn't as far removed from usual Dean as I thought he was, he just had a lot of shit going through his head due to him thinking he put his brother in hell forever.
Sam definitely isn't the regular Sam we know. I picked up on this mostly when Dean hugs him and he has this smirk on his face...that just isn't usual to the character. But yeah, I definitely like it more than I did after watching it the first time, and the characters weren't too different, and even if they are (in the case of Sam) I think they're purposely acting in such a way. Especially in the trailer for Season 6 Dean hits Sam and says something about Sam "being off" since returning.
But yeah, the only thing that I didn't like still is the "you're the one who won't hesitate line".

Here's my big recap I did on the CW forums:
The first time I saw this episode, I wasn't feeling it at all. I thought the characters seemed stoic and disconnected, and that the show just wasn't what it used to be. I didn't like the djinn (and I'm still not so sure that they really had much of a point other than to show the "monsters" that the Campbells may be). I missed the classic rock soundtrack (though the opening was brilliant in my opinion). All things considered, I didn't like the first episode at all, and thought that this show was probably done for. So like all good things, I decided to watch it again.
I liked it a lot more this time around. I don't know if it was the constant commercial breaks that ruined the flow, or my cable box making the show's colors look weird, but for some reason I enjoyed it a lot more.
Dean wasn't as far removed from the usual Dean as I thought he was, he just had a lot of stuff going through his head due to him thinking he put his brother in hell forever. You could see "old" Dean come through in a bunch of different places (the "rusty" scene, the "shooting a possum" scene, "the garage scene", etc.). I think that the episode was just trying to portray Dean as having trouble adjusting since he's been living the "american dream" for over a year.
Although I don't like Lisa and Ben, I do appreciate that they helped to portray the fact that Dean has been essentially going through hell for a year. Yes, he's been happy that he has these two people, but he also feels like he put his brother into hell for eternity; which led to (from what Dean says) fighting and drinking, etc. I think that having him reveal this through a talk with another character about the experience, rather than just flat out saying it in basic conversation with Sam was nice to see.
Also, Sam definitely isn't the regular Sam that we know. I picked up on this mostly when Dean hugs him and he has this smirk on his face...that just isn't usual to the character. It was almost a "yeah, I'm doing a good job playing this off, huh?" I think that they're purposely trying to portray Sam (in a sort of subtle way) as not being himself. In the trailer for Season 6 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hj4rOSMqGw8 ), it shows Dean confronting Sam and saying that he's been "off" since he returned. Obviously this opening episode was meant to set the motions for that in a subtle way.
I'm not sure how I honestly feel about the Campbells. I think it'll be interesting to see the family history, but they were introduced way too quickly.
As far as the camera style goes, I liked that they were being inventive with the shots. The whole "hallucination" scene was unique for the show, and I thought it was played off fairly well. I can't say I'm a fan of the "zoom closeups", since they're parodied and overplayed in television, but they weren't abundant and didn't detract from the experience.
Bobby was still Bobby, and Dean was still Dean (albeit a bit conflicted / torn).
I'd like to see what's going to happen to Sam, since it sure as hell set him up for a big reveal (probably midseason).
What I'm getting at here is basically give the episode a second chance. This is mostly for those who didn't like it, like myself originally.

I enjoyed the opener. It really cut back on the melodrama that has plagued the series a little bit, I feel like in earlier seasons, Sam not telling Dean he was back would create a rift for several episodes, while they actually get over it pretty quick this episode. I love the idea of this season kind of going back to creatures they have hunted in the past. I'm hoping all the references to little events of the past stick around this season. Definitely something up with Sam and I really hope they don't go down the cliche route of the Cambells turning on the boys. Other than that, excited for the season to come.

after tonight's episode, all skepticism towards the direction of the new storyline this season is gone. juggling in the civil war in heaven with the rest of the monster stuff that's been going on in the past two episodes? what if the two are somehow connected? these writers are just brilliant. it's starting to make sense why sam felt so out of character these past few episodes. there's definitely something wrong with him, of course we don't know what it is at the moment. cas feels a little different, too, but it makes sense. no luxury to care about the kid shows just how worn out he's been getting trying to stop raphael.

but it's only logical that they continue the angel storyline after what happened in the last two seasons, particularly the way last season's finale left heaven with really no one in charge. i thought it was interesting and novel that an angel would fake his death and gather weapons to sell for souls, basically becoming a demon. i was actually more captivated by this episode than i was the last one.

alpha vamp wasn't as intimidating as lucifer or young john as michael. it was pretty obvious from the getgo that he was going to get out of that cage and cause some havoc, but i just wasn't scared by him. the line where he'd be bathing in their blood in a few moments was totally cliche and cheesy, when it's supposed to creep you the fuck out. but damn, the guy that plays crowley? i would never have expected from last season that he'd be able to pull off such infectious evilness of the character he's become.

I think they're playing on Castiel's 'humanity confusion' too much now because they know the fans dig it. It's still funny, but it's clear they plan it out instead of just throwing it in there.
I'm liking this season less and less, I miss 'monster of the week'. I just don't like this storyline I guess, can't be bothered with soulless Sam.

Can only guess that Meg is now going to become one of the main characters? and that the whole Crowley/Alpha thing is done. Also curious as to who is going to take over as the new king of Hell.

I think this season is slowly getting better, although I wish things picked up a bit more. I'm also iffy on the no-soul Sam, not really sure where they're going with that. I hope we get to see Death sometime this season too, and maybe a Castiel-heavy episode to show what's going on with that civil war.

Agreed. I don't think he could be Death without being the creepiest, though, haha.
Such an awesome episode. This season reminds me of season 3, in that they ended the main story line the previous year (Yellow Eyes in season 2, Lucifer in season 5) and introduced a "bridge the gap" type of storyline (Dean dying in season 3, Sam's soul in season 6). So it feels slightly uneven and a little aimless but it's still one of the best and most entertaining shows on TV.
However, it seemed like they started to tease the "followup" to the storyline when Death hinted at Dean "digging" at something. Hopefully this ends up as awesome as when they introduced angels.

I just think they could've done a lot more with her. I just started the 4th season and I looooooove Castiel. I can't wait to see what happens with him. I love how they've brought attention to God with Dean. I think that's really interesting.

a couple of days ago imdb listed what is now last night as what should be the air date for the new SPN episode. only a few hours before 9 did i realize from checking the imdb front page as well as tv.com and even the official cw website that they weren't showing the usual friday timeslots Smallville and SPN. maybe they weren't able to get the episode ready in time. even if that were the case, i'm still pissed off.

had some problems with this episode, most notably that the fight scene was really hard to follow. i really like where this season is going, though, even if it does feel like some of it is being pulled out of the writers' asses. i feel like with some parts of the dialogue, it isn't as good as it used to be. and the last scene with Bobby kind of felt like it rushed through the exposition for the rest of the season.
i really like how they put this scene in the recap in the beginning:
"you're the first vampire, right? where did you come from?"
"well, we all have our mothers."

Kind of late, but the reason they repeated Nikita and VD was American Idol. They wanted the people who missed Nikita and VD because they were watching AI to be able to see the episodes. Made me so mad when it disappeared from my guide, but at least they showed it this Friday.

i'd hate to say this, but i think Eric Kripke's departure as the showrunner really affected the show in a negative way. the ideas are as brilliant as ever, but the dialogue is what kills it for me, and some of the execution is just not as spot on as it was before. still, i would love it if they renewed for a seventh season, and that's without seeing the rest of season six yet. the foundation built by the first five seasons was so strong that even if they are stumbling clumsily a bit here and there, as long as they have these amazing characters i'm in. i'm excited thinking about the rest of this season and how they have the mother storyline and the heaven storyline going on at the same time.

so sloppy. especially that last fight scene. i couldn't tell what was happening until after the fact when they showed the guy's head on the floor. they have these great ideas, but the execution just falls flat. so much of the dialogue feels so cliche. and the atmosphere is just not there. what should've been a mysterious and suspenseful episode didn't feel that way at all. there was no feeling of intimidation, not like there was with some other one-shot villains (the alpha vampire, the truth goddess, and the fairy guy being a few recent examples). it didn't feel like Sam and Dean were really in any trouble.
the first half of the season it's like they're putting in filler here and there so that they end the mid-season with sam getting his soul back. ever since then, it's like they're rushing to get somewhere. right off the bat they introduce the mother of all? and then the next episode, only the second after sam gets his soul back, the wall breaks? they could've held on to that plot point for at least one more episode so that it's this dark looming possibility, but now it's already happened. out of the 13 episodes this season i've only liked seven of them, and that seven does not include the latest two. i remember season 5 being way more consistent. up until this point, it definitely feels like this season has taken a step back, a small one, but a step back nonetheless. the rest of the season better step it up a notch. i won't go so far as to say that i'll stop watching if it doesn't, since i'm so attached to these characters and they've been so well-written up to this point, but i already feel like i've stopped looking forward to new episodes quite as excitedly as i used to.

This bugged me so much. I knew when they mentioned the possibility of the wall breaking that it had to happen, but not the episode immediately after Sam gets his soul back. Maybe they'll build up the suspense by saying that he only "scratched" it or something, since the next episode he isn't drooling all over the place, haha.
And with the "Mother of all" thing being thrown in at the end of the episode before last, they didn't even mention it in the last episode, and it doesn't look like they're going to mention it in the next episode either. But the possessed Impala looks looks like it's going to be pretty sweet.

Does this mean the end of Lisa and Ben? *crosses fingers*
Next week's episode looks pretty funny:
Raphael launches an attack on Castiel and his allies, sending a particularly frightening angelic hitman after Balthazar, Sam and Dean. In an effort to protect the brothers, Balthazar sends them to an alternate universe where they are the stars of a TV show called "Supernatural" and they are actors named "Jensen Ackles" and "Jared Padalecki." The brothers are confused when Castiel appears to be a tweet-happy actor named Misha Collins and Sam is married to Ruby.

they'll be back. i'm just speculating, really, but i think it's inevitable that Dean's lifestyle will bring something to them, whether he's there or not. it's always been hinted at, so it pretty much has to happen. and he'll have to go back and save the day. or really lose them.

"Exile on Main St." - great
"Two and a Half Men" - okay
"The Third Man" - good
"Weekend at Bobby's" - awesome
"Live Free or TwiHard" - okay
"You Can't Handle the Truth" - okay
"Family Matters" - i don't even remember
"All Dogs Go to Heaven" - bad
"Clap Your Hands If You Believe..." - great
"Caged Heat" - great
"Appointment in Samarra" - awesome
"Like a Virgin" - okay
"Unforgiven" - awesome
"Mannequin 3: The Reckoning" - good
"The French Mistake" - awesome
"...And Then There Were None" - awesome
"My Heart Will Go On" - great
"Frontierland" - awesome
i don't see how one great surrounded by three awesomes is an indicator of this show really starting to suck.

check yourself. add spoiler tags to your post.
i agree that i thought Eve would be a bigger threat, but i actually think it was very clever what the writers did. at first it seemed like Crowley was a distraction and Eve was the main threat, but it turns out it was the other way around. the fact that Crowley is back, or more accurately, never left, and he's somehow associated with Cas sounds like the bigger problem here. Eve just said every soul is like a walking nuclear reactor. Cas is so troubled in his civil war in heaven that he'd work with a demon, the king of hell, to be exact, to harvest souls for power? Cas would tell Balthazar to unsink the Titanic (pissing off Fate in the process)? what exactly is Cas after, and why is he going to such drastic measures to achieve it? how long has Cas been working with Crowley and been deceiving the brothers? this sounds way bigger than anything Eve has stirred up. i'm glad Crowley is back, not only because Mark Shepherd is a fine, fine actor, but also because, if the writers have been planning this from the beginning of the season, and they never don't, then if we add Crowley into everything we already think we know about this war in heaven, i think we're in for one hell of a season finale.
Dean: Cas, get out of my ass!
Cas: I've never been in your... [awkward silence]
i bet the fangirls on tumblr had a good time with that one.
