On Tuesday's edition of The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert shared a number (http://spring.newsvine.com/_news/2006/09/28/378134-call-colbert-at-1-888-oops-jew) (1-888-OOPS-JEW) where viewers could call and apologize for all of the wrong things they have done to him this year. It turns out the number works - call, some messages may be played on the air at a later time.

She's single, but she didn't sound hot.
Stephen Colbert just might be the most insane human being presently on the Earth.

Stephen Colbert > Jon Stewart
stephen colbert is the man...
did anybody see him when he manged to get himself in to speak at the white house press correspndents dinner?
I think they actually thought he was super cnservative when they let him in...
long video, but he had some balls and made everybody squirm in their seats...

That is just.....wow. I can't believe that's actually for real. I watch the show every night and didn't even think it was for real. Stephen Colbert is brillant. The Colbert Report might eventually be on par with The Daily Show soon.
Stephen Colbert > Jon Stewart
woooow there sir. give some reasoning for this. i love colbert, and i do think that they did an amazing job really separating the report from the daily show, but colbert could never do what he does on his show if it wasnt for a) the daily show and b) bill o'reilly, in which the colbert report mocks in every way.
*crying stars*
09/29/06, 03:05 PM
haha, that's awesome.
stephen colbert is funny, but his show is exactly what he did on the daily show except with a longer time slot.

i believe it was the PR dude that hired him on, just hearing that he had a funny show that was political, which was how he was put on the bill. and yes, he probably does have the biggest balls of anyone i know. anyone see that he got viewers to vote his name into some race to get a bridge named after him in fucking hungary?!?!

the daily show loves liberals
the colbert report loves conservitives
its a politicly equal hour block of tv
Actually, The Daily Show is pretty middle of the road, even if Jon Stewart leans toward the left. They equally criticize both sides.
And Colbert is better than Stewart.

haha are you serious as well??? when was the last time stewart made fun of liberals??? the whole show is devoted to hating on bush and conservatives. and he has big wig liberals on and sucks their dicks and the only time he will have a conservative on is if they aren't that big. its all left-leaning.
and colber>stewart, basically because you can tell he is waaayyyyy more intelligent than stewart ever will be. colbert report has so much more intelligence in its jokes than daily show ever has, and ive been watching since kilborn was on.

he didnt manage it. they booked it. they knew who he was and what his show was but they didnt care because unlike liberals (bill clinton on fox?), conservatives and bush can handle being criticized and poked fun at in public.

He makes fun of anybody that acts like an idiot. They spent a whole week making fun of Howard Dean when he went cuckoo. They spent time making fun of Joe Liebermann when he lost the Democratic nomination and vowed to run as an independent. They make fun of anybody that makes an ass of themselves. It just happens to be that more Republicans are making asses of themselves right now than Democrats.

Colbert is the only Republican I can stand. I don't always agree with his viewpoints, but I do enjoy the way he presents in a humorous way.

He's not a Republican, he just plays one on TV.

that was amazing. i think he should run for president. i think he would be amazingly honest. i love when he introduces people to his show and comes running out as if he's the guest. hilarious.

he may actually be a republican but his "schtick" is making fun of the really, really far-right. He could be liberal or conservative leaning, not all conservatives are for all the beliefs of the far-right. People need to stop knee-jerk politics. But yeah, colbert is not 'that' conservative, it's called irony people.

He's not a republican at all. He cleared it up on his 60 Minutes profile, which I would link to but I'm dumb and can't find it.

i can't believe there are people who don't realize that the colbert report is mocking right wing politics/shows.
i mean even if you don't realize it in the humor, you'd think people would get it from the fact that it's on COMEDY central.

If you watch carefully, even though Colbert may at first seem in line with Conservative thinking, he's actually intelligently mocking them.
I'm kinda conservative, and I still think it's hilarious.

the fact that so many people on here claim that colbert is conservative at all just shows how stupid people who watch his show and stewart's really are. its called irony people. its sad how many liberal youth are getting their news from comedy central. and now they all think he would actually be qualified to run for president/vp with stewart. so sad....and people wonder why the dem's lost all their power.

Not really. The people who think that Stephen is actually a republican probably don't watch, because if they did, there is no way they would really think that.
And no one really thinks they should run for president, though they are a lot more qualified than the current administration.
Also, if you're going to act that self-righteous, you should at least do so with proper grammar. Plurals do not require apostrophes.
