I'm starting to leave my musical comfort zone by getting into some hip hop. I've been listening to artists like Kanye West, Cipse, Why?, P.O.S., Kid Cudi, Wale, Mos Def, and Lupe Fiasco. I'm open to any new artists and am willing to give everything a listen.

Haiku D'Etat
Public Enemy
Wu-Tang/Wu-Massacre
Talib Kweli
Nas
Hieroglyphics
the Coup

I'm sure you've heard of some or most of these but just throwin' the ones off the top of my head out there. I'll take any recs as well.

Okay, thanks. The only one on the list I've heard is Nas. And I wasn't too fond of his lyrics. They were a bit too vulgar for my taste. But I'll still look more into them.

Eminem all the way. Recovery is an amazing album, and so are his older ones.

Haha it wasn't an attack. More so a joke. I see why people think that album is the greatest hip-hop album of all time. I like it too.

I'd never say anything is the "greatest hip hop album of all time", but Illmatic might be my favorite.

Kanye West and The College Dropout are not pleased at this comment haha. I do love Illmatic a whole lot but I don't listen to Nas that much.

It really depends on my mood. It varies usually between that, 36 Chambers, and Ready To Die.
Pretty boring choices, I know.
