My high school lost their first league game in two years this year. So we switched QBs to a sophomore and we've won the last two games by a combined score of 70-13.

Rochester Adams Highlanders baby.

My former high school, Lewis Central High School is 5-0, #6 in the state in Class 3A and is playing a huge game next week. Against a team that has won 40 something straight, Harlan. Basically a Iowa high school football powerhouse, although we could beat them.

We're running a spread offense and our QB is averaging 100+ yards running and passing each week. This is the only thing I am proud about concerning my high school.

If we win this upcoming game we could easily go undefeated and do some damage in the playoffs.

My school took a big hit with graduation. So many seniors graduated from the Varsity team. We have about 6 Sophomore starters and 8 Juniors between the Offense and Defense.

We lost a TE/DT to Michigan last year too, which sucks.

thejetstolehome
09/30/06, 03:29 PM
no one in my class got anywhere big but the center from the class of 03 is the starter @ notre dame now. and i think some kids from last year, incl. the kicker, are playing somewhere.

my team would always win our county and get to the state championship and lose by a touchdown or less..

The best teams, yea. Like the top 25 or so. Usually the best players on those teams end up being the stars at the big colleges in like 3 years.

I follow hs football because i follow recruiting.

Same here haha

Freshman year, they won the Island championship and lost in the city championships to St. Anthony's Prep School

Sophomore year, they won the Island championship and lost in the city championships to St. Anthony's Prep School

Junior year: So far, 1-2 (0-2 in league games), and they're probably losing tonight..for the first time in a long time we're facing St. Anthony's Prep School in homecoming in a few weeks. Everyone is super excited...for a loss. haha

We had to move our homecoming game til Oct. 20... and it's against our city rivals who haven't beat us in 9 years or 13 of 14 years. So it's not really a rivalry as much as a social gathering with a bunch of people who hate each other and a big ass-whoopin.

I just know that Western NY football......has a really low talent level.

This guy:Rob Gronkowski (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=2138007) was the only good prospect in the area this year. Or last year for that matter. He's the #2 TE prospect in the nation (5-star, getting offers from Michigan, OSU, Clemson, Cuse, Maryland (where his brothers are playing) and Louisville.)

...Yeah. He left the area this season to play in the Pittsburgh (Woodland Hills HS) region. His dad owns the G&G Fitness chain of stores, and Rob and his father moved down there "to oversee the renovation of the G&G stores in the Pittsburgh area" BULLLLLLLLSHIT! The talent level around here sucks and he wanted to see if he could get more exposure.

Or that last year (or the year before, I don't remember), it was the first time EVER that 3 teams from the same city (Cincinnati) were in the top 25 at the same time?

I guess you forgot Ohio has won 3/4... and their best player didn't even play in the game (Chris Wells). The Big 33 is usually skipped my most top players in the last few years, anyways.

Moeller, St. X, St. Ignatious, Elder, Colerain... are easily 5 of the top big school programs in the nation.

And there's the fact that the game probably won't go on much longer because most top players don't play in it anymore and it's not even that big of a deal.

Private schools aren't even allowed to compete in state championship games in Texas, so the best players actually go to their respective public school. In other states the best kids will get together and say we're all gonna go to this private school, so all these best "teams" in the country are gonna be private schools.

Yea.

Colerain (Cincinnati) is a public school and it's a powerhouse.

And... in Ohio, public schools recruit. A lot. Is it legal? No... does it happen? All the time.

The year I quit football my team actually has a winning record. But my public school I'm supposed to attend has never had a team win more than 2 or 3 games ever is undefeated on the field (forfeighted a game for playin a kid who failed a class) and just played an amazing game against their rivals and came back and won.

Ohio St. got a verbal from the top prospect in Ohio, Colerain's (Cincinnati) DB Eugene Clifford.

I just found this.

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individua l&videoid=761360754

This is from the last time we won the city title, in 2000..we actually were able to defeat St. Anthony's who is usually the only game we lose all year. We scored a field goal with like just enough time left for one play, and then on the last play of the game we intercepted it and won.

My high school.. is now 5-2... not bad. They have a great running back... who was all state last year... had 188 yds.. 2 tds.

my high school used to be/usually is pretty sick. my senior year we played 2 nationally televised games and were ranked #2 in the nation by espn at one point. WR dez bryant from that team is tearing it up for okie state now. here's his junior year HS highlights:

cc6r3rrPh0g

if you throw it up, this kid will come down with it, and then run a couple people over. check out his 07-08 okie state too.

we currently suck pretty bad, but the team does boast the #1 DT in the nation, Jamarcus McFarland. kid's a beast.

school is Lufkin High.
