Yeah, take a look at his stats. They're completely batting average dependent. His batting average, considering the fact he's never hit anything like this average wise in his career, is most likely a fluke, and once that drops, so does his OBP considerably, as he BARELY walks (.23 isoOBP is Francoeur-esque), dropping his value considerably.

I don't believe protection is the reason he's done well... I think most people would choose Utley over him, I don't think that's really a debate.
