I bought this a year ago and I watched it for the second time tonight.
The first time I watched it and thought it was okay but nothing special, but having watched it for the second time I have to say it is a wonderful, original and interesting film.
Also, the I fucking love Paul Thomas Anderson's camera work

PTA is nothing short of amazing.
Every film of his is pure gold.
And yes, the cinematography is awesome. Especially when he's on the phone in his apartment with the girl.

I don't know why but I have always been a sucker for long shots without cuts. The scene with him on the phone to the girl is continuous for 3 minutes without a single cut or edit.

I am very aware of that, but I didn't want to scare people away with talk of photographic direction, symbolic cinematic codes and cinamatography

The director DIRECTS the D.P.
PTA has final say over what the shot looks like.

Even though he isn't in the film for that long, Phillip Seymour Hoffman is amazing once again

Regardless, he referred to it as Anderson's camera work which it is not.

I don't like Sandler's not-as-funny movies, cause I just can't take him seriously.

Does that mean you hate;
Jim Carrey in 'Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind"
Bill Murray in anything he has made from "Rushmore" onwards?
Or in fact any other actor who got into the business using comedy and has branched out?

Actually, i believe Adam Sandler in Punch Drunk Love...and it suprised me, I expected me to not be able to disconnect from his other roles. In terms of acting, he plays a very similiar type cast, he's still that sort of challenged outcast in society, in this case, it's in a drama/dark comedy and not in a straight comedy

Great movie. One of my favorite quotes ever is from this film.
"I have a love in my life. It makes me stronger than anything you can imagine."
That quote and it's delivery are just perfect.

Sooooooo good. Adam Sandler is really an under-rated actor when he's not playing his typical Billy Madison character
