everyone is different....its a logical choice to plug in and have a listen if others you like musically like them...but to be fair if you dont i cant give you advice on how to force yourself to like something.....

i remember taking my friend to an Iron Maidem show and he lied to me saying he liked them...he had the WORST TIME EVER!!!!!

That's fine you can't get into them. Midtown has nothing I look for in music and though Say Anything has their moments, I think they try way to hard to be different.

oh man same here! and when i saw them with circa in sf, i got annoyed because they are good but their live guitar tone is so bad. ugh. too loud, way too much gain and i dont think they know how to eq for crap.

sorry. kind of a tangent, but when i love a band on cd and see them live and get dissapointed, its frustrating.

I'm surprised because they are both catchy with somewhat intelligent lyrics. I would expect more obscure bands to be listed, but as far as bands that this site hypes: I can't get into Cartel, Mae, Underoath, and The Matches.
