Here's the list of small band submissions we've recieved over the last few days. Check them out and leave your comments in the replies. As always, submit your news to us if you'd like it included in these round-ups.
Joy In Tomorrow (http://www.myspace.com/joyintomorrow) recently finished recording their debut EP with Jeff Schneeweis of Number One Gun (http://www.myspace.com/numberonegun), and have posted a couple tracks on their MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/joyintomorrow) page.

Subcolour (http://www.myspace.com/subcolour) have posted two new songs that they recorded with Jesse Sprinkle (ex-Dead Poetic).

Maylen (http://www.myspace.com/maylenrock) is heading into the studio this coming Friday (October 6) to begin production on their debut release with engineer Paul Leavitte (All Time Low, Thin Dark Line, Over It, Don't Look Down). Expect the release around December.

Anniston (http://www.myspace.com/annistonwpb)'s EP is now available on iTunes.

The Dog and Everything have turned into a trio called Last Fast Action (http://www.myspace.com/lastfastaction).

Cooper High (http://www.myspace.com/cooperhigh) have new songs up on their myspace page.

Chris Chambers Never Misses (http://www.myspace.com/chrischambersnevermisses) have new songs up on myspace.

Welwyn (http://www.myspace.com/welwyn) have signed to Nobody Moves Music.

Project Phoenix (http://www.purevolume.com/projectphoenix) have posted a demo on their Purevolume page.

How Rumors Start (http://www.myspace.com/howrumorsstart) have posted a new acoustic song.

Some Never Sleep (http://www.myspace.com/someneversleep) has posted a new full band version of "Wallflower's Dance" on their Myspace. (http://www.myspace.com/someneversleep)

Hey Alaska (http://www.myspace.com/heyalaska) have finished recording their EP.

HARVEY (http://www.myspace.com/harvey) is looking for a new bassist. If you live in the St. Louis metro area, own professional gear (or willing to buy some), are out of high school with no plans on going to college, willing to tour, and and are interested, message them at their myspace (http://www.myspace.com/harvey) page.

Houston, Tx's Apollo's Fall (http://www.myspace.com/apollosfall) finished recording their new ep, and have posted 2 new songs on their myspace.

If you'd like to submit news to be featured into our SBRU, please submit it via e-mail to this link right here. (melissa.johnson@absolutepunk.net) All submissions not e-mailed to the address will not be featured on AP. Please make sure it is a relevant news post (and by relevant I mean something for me to actually post about the band) and include all working links needed for the submission. Also, please don't e-mail me with the same submission three days in a row. If it was featured in today's the exact same submission will not be featured in the next SBRU.

Good! That must mean he has finished The Spotlight's record, so maybe we can hear some new stuff soon.....

so i decided to visit Joy In Tomorrow's page on a whim, since they had an interesting name, and i was thoroughly impressed with what i heard.
to me, it was really reminiscent of Acceptance, both in the vocals and the style.
i look forward to hearing more about them

Hey Alaska got it going on they are a REALLY good band that has alot of potential to make it big. I really like the stuff guys, keep it up.

P.S. I love the name, how did u guys come up with it?

spotlight cd not done yet, but from what i've heard from people it should be pretty amazing... our cd well be finished sometime next week expect some songs on myspace soon, and the album will be released in december befor we get out on tour with height of fashion.
