I gave serious thought to all since Transatlanticism. Ended up giving it to that one, but Narrow Stairs gave me something to think about. I've never been crazy about pre-trans DCFC.

I went with Transtlanticism but they haven't made a bad album yet. I can't believe Plans got so many votes. Its a really good record. Dont get me wrong but I wouldn't rank it one of their best. I'd have to say We Have the Facts is a close second.

If any Death Cab hater ever wanted to completely end a discussion on the greatness of DCFC, they'd basically have to say 'Meet Me at the Equinox' and any of us would have to shut up. Still love the band to death (cab for cutie... ZINGGG), but damn was that a piss-poor song.

I kind of see what you mean, but I don't think Transatlanticism's production was very glossy at all. Plans' production was for sure though.
Anyway, it was a tough choice between the two aforementioned albums, but I ended up going with Plans. Almost every song on that album is absolutely amazing in my opinion, and I'd be lying if I said it weren't my favorite.

I need to try and get into Airplanes. Thus far I just can't get into it, but that's how I was with Facts for awhile. Also I really, really liked the Open Door EP and hope they go more in that direction than the Meet Me on the Equinox.
