One of the most hated record labels in the scene today. I would like to know which band signed to this label the AP community thinks is the best. Base it off of whatever opinion you would like. Just tell me who you feel is the best from the list. (I may be missing some bands, I'm using wikipedia for the artist lineup because the Rise website's artist list is a little out-dated).
My vote was hard and it came down between Dance Gavin Dance, PMtoday, and Emarosa......but I went with PMtoday.
A mix between The Fall Of Troy, The Receiving End Of Sirens, and Circa Survive. Pretty freakin tight!

Knowing most people on AP? Probably not many. And whoever does will get ripped hard! I like Attack Attack! (Someday Came Suddenly was a guilty pleasure what can I say?) but no where near the best on this list.

Well they are signed to a different label now I do believe, it is like a sub-label owned by Rise or something like that but they aren't officially signed to Rise Records therefore not on the list.

Really tough choice for me, considering i love about 85% of what the label puts out. It was between Sleeping With Sirens and The Color Morale though. Went with SWS

I don't understand why this label takes so much shit from this website. Everyone always says Rise Records produces horrible music, but there are so many great bands on this list! Some people are just really quick to judge I think.

I agree, there are a select few bands from the label people love, and most of those, are the ones I have no interest in

They just get a lot of beef because of bands like Attack Attack! and OM&M (whom I have nothing against). Lots of good quality bands on this list. I chose PMtoday though just because those guys are crazy awesome :-)

To you maybe but I highly disagree......than again I have not heard EVERY band on this list but I have the majority and though some sound similar they are all (for the most part) different.

They weren't on Rise when they released it, but The Bled's first album wins this for me. Pass the nostalgia thank you very much.
I voted for Jonny Craig because of Emarosa/old DGD/Isles and Glaciers.

I'd recommend anything off of their old album. I've yet to listen to their first. I love love love the song Doctor!. Just a thought.

Than you can't say because there some bands on this list that I can agree are not good but you would have look into it a little more. Depending on what you like I could probably give you an example.

I like one DGD song, and I remember liking Piebald, so I went with Piebald. The majority of these bands do not deserve to be signed, though.

PM Today. I recommend PM Today to everyone. They're the stand-out and the best on this label hands down.

Sleeping With Sirens for me, really the only band i have heard and enjoyed from this list. The other bands are a little to heavy for my liking.
