I saw a show on the History Channel last night about UFO's and shit, and i was just wondering how many people think life exists somewhere else in the universe? does anyone think aliens have visited earth?
just a topic of conversation, its been kinda slow around here lately

you think that in the whole entire universe we are the only planet that has any form of life on it? that there isn't even a speck of bacteria somewhere far, far away? I just can't see that in the infinite universe there would only be 1 planet with life on it.

I agree w/ yeat. Its stupid to think that we are the only planet with forms of life living on it, be it bacteria or intelligent beings.

Of cource there is life elsewere in the universe. To think otherwise is just ignorant. Weather or not they have visited earth is an other matter
Life on other planets, yes
Visiting us, no
If anyone's really interested in this stuff, read Carl Sagan's "The Demon Haunted World", he covers the UFO topic in great detail, and just generally talks about how science is overlooked in today's society.
He's a clever guy, and he makes creationists look like dipshits.

maybe another life somewhere, but who knows. But i dont believe in aliens like we think of them.
Extraterrestrial life = life in any form
No little grey men I'm sure, but the chances of bacteria evolving at the very least are staggering

I think that there may be a form of life on another planent. But no way have they traveled to earth. Nor do they look like ET or that thing from independance day. honestly, i see "aliens" looking similar to creatures here on earth. but the real alien problem is coming from south of the border, so yes I do believe in Aliens infiltrating our nation and robbing our country of its resources and money.

i think its more than just possible that other life forms exist elsewhere in the universe, and theres also a good chance some of it is intelligent. I have no idea if htey've come to earth or not but I seriously doubt it

i believe life must exist out there somewhere, and i do believe that there is probably intelligent life somewhere as well. As for visitors from outer space, i don't put much stock into any of the so called "sightings" that have occured over the last century or so. I think most, if not all can be explained away as something else. But i'm not sure if we've ever been visited, it is interesting to look at the ancient civilizations and see how much they have in common, despite never having contact with eachother. Also, many ancient civillizations had knowlege of advanced mathematics and astronomy. It just interesting to think that maybe they were visited by intelligent life and "taught" these things....did it happen? probably not, but its still weird to think about the "what ifs". just think, all of religion might be based on an alien encounter rather than an almighty god...
