Jared Kaufman

Ace Enders and Jeff Kummer from The Early November (http://www.theearlynovember.net), and Ace's wife Jenn, have started a small independent label called Regular Music (http://www.regularmusic.net). Some info about it can be found below.
If you make music, we will support you. We work hard to help our artists get to the places they would like to be, whether it is on a venue's stage, on the shelves of a store, or on a major label. The normal way of making these things happen usually leads to a path that's far off from where anyone involved would regularly intend to go. So we work hard to keep it regular.
We are currently working with three bands:
Pete Nischt (www.myspace.com/petenischt)
Nothing Ever Stays (www.myspace.com/nothingeverstays)
One Two Three Four (www.myspace.com/onetwothreefourmusic)
Right now you can download a free EP from Pete Nischt at Regular Music (http://www.regularmusic.net).
We ask everyone to keep checking up for free EPs, release dates, and cool contests that will be coming soon.
Go here (http://regularmusic.net/contact.php) for info on where to send demos.

good for them... does ace ever take a break from anything?
their drummer is probably gonna start a clothing line.
its the new 'side-project' trend.

Everyone check out Pete Nischt if you're a fan of music along the lines of Damien Rice or John Mayer! Great stuff... haha gotta represent the Akron here...

I feel dumb because everywhere I look on the site, I see them telling me the EP is there...but I can't find where to actually download the EP. Help anyone?

Oh my. All you have to do is go to the regularmusic.net website and there is a opening splash page that has the download RIGHT THERE. If you are still unable to find the obvious download, here is a link (http://www.regularmusic.net/Pete_Nischt-Free_EP.zip). I hope you don't have to use the link I just gave you because the download on the website is right in plain sight.
They've signed some good bands.

this is good to hear. ace and jeff are great and they are the type of people that will sign people with good music who play it because they love it.

Wonder if Ace is setting up TEN for life after Drive-Thru already?
All these artists sound pretty good. Nice.

It sounds like most labels run by band boys, except you can tell they geniuenly want to help people get their music out. Good job guys!

I do wonder how this bodes for TEN/Drive Thru...hmm....
A label takes up a lot of time, or so I assume, I hope Ace doesn't overextend himself or stop being in a band/performing.
Either way, good for Ace & Co...best wishes to them and their label!

I wonder if they had to walk on Ace's back.
HAHA! Probably not...
That makes three members of TEN starting side projects (Joe is managing bands now, too). I wonder why they want to get into the business themselves? Their mission statement was definitely against the grain.

Read interview with Rich from Madison when it's posted. I'm sure a lot of good stuff will come out then.

i'm really looking forward to seeing how this kind of stuff turns out, and hoping that some good bands in general, plus good bands from my area (like my friends 1977: myspace (http://www.myspace.com/1977music), purevolume (http://www.purevolume.com/1977), and here's the purevolume of the same band with a different lineup and one less member.. ("http://www.purevolume.com/hoursforstars')) will be able to take a stab at things like this and maybe achieve the kind of things they deserve.

I just downloaded the free Pete Nischt ep and really like what I've heard so far... but he sounds absolutely nothing like Damien Rice? The only similarity is acoustic guitar.

nah the only reason he went to my school (well the elem.) was because he was kinda of a problem child and his dad knew my elem school principal. my mom actually taught the kid.
